About this property
The Mark · All-Concrete Home, Hot Tub, Views
Summary:
Fold the 17-foot bifold door all the way open at The Mark and the living room becomes the patio, with the mountains on the far side of 1.18 private acres in Joshua Tree's Panorama Heights. Made entirely of concrete, the house stays cool and quiet through the afternoon. Cook at the travertine island, carry dinner to the table for six outside, then sink into the six-person hot tub as the fire pit takes over. Two king bedrooms sit at opposite ends.
The Space:
The Mark is a two-bedroom, two-bathroom new build made entirely of concrete, which keeps it naturally cool, quiet and energy-efficient. It sits on 1.18 private acres in Panorama Heights. Raw concrete textures, tall ceilings, moody tones and north-facing windows frame the desert and mountain views, softened by a cognac velvet sofa, abstract art and travertine, and a 17-foot bifold door opens the living space to the patio. Two king bedrooms sit at opposite ends of the home, each opening to the patio, with a pull-out sofa for a fifth guest. It suits couples or two pairs of friends looking for a design-forward base. Fold the door all the way open at golden hour.

-Outdoor Amenities-
The 1.18 acres of open desert feel private, with mountain and desert views in every direction. Mornings are for a coffee in the bouclé chair on the patio while the light comes up over the hills. By late afternoon, fire up the gas BBQ against the concrete wall and set the outdoor dining table for six, just beyond the bifold doors.
When the sun goes down, the fire pit and its lounge chairs are the place for sunset drinks. Then lift the cover on the six-person hot tub, with a tall cactus beside it and the mountains ahead, and stay in until the stars are out.
-Living Area-
Soaring ceilings and moody concrete meet natural light pouring through the 17-foot bifold doors. Sink into the cognac velvet sofa under the abstract art, set your book on the stone coffee table, and leave the door open to the breeze. A large smart TV with a soundbar, a portable Sonos speaker and a pull-out couch cover movie nights and an extra guest.
-Kitchen and Dining-
The open chef's kitchen has Ocean Silver travertine countertops, stainless steel appliances and a gas stove, with floating shelves of stoneware and a window over the sink that frames the mountains. Pull up a stool at the island, which doubles as a breakfast bar, and start with a cup from the Keurig, pods provided. The outdoor dining table and BBQ are just outside the bifold doors.
-Bedrooms and Bathrooms-
Both bedrooms have king beds and sit at opposite ends of the home, so each pair has its own end of the house. Large north-facing doors open each room to the patio, and sculptural wall pieces, rust pillows and warm sconces keep them calm and inviting. The primary suite has a private ensuite bathroom, and the second bedroom has an attached bathroom that also serves the living area. Both bathrooms are finished in earthy tile, from terracotta to wood tones, with walk-in showers, vessel sinks and dark wood vanities. A pull-out sofa in the living room adds space for a fifth guest.
-Surrounding Area-
Downtown Joshua Tree has artisan cafés, vintage shops and local markets, and the West Entrance to Joshua Tree National Park opens onto the park. Indian Cove Campground offers hiking and climbing, and the area's open desert and mountain ranges are never far from view.
