Welcome to The Joshua Tree Resort (aka “The Lazy River House”), an exclusive retreat that combines the serenity of nature with the indulgence of a private amenity-filled resort. Nestled in the heart of Joshua Tree, this four-bedroom residence stands apart as one of the only homes in the high desert with its own private lazy river - a fluid centerpiece designed for total relaxation. The property offers panoramic mountain views, a complete wellness circuit, and immersive indoor-outdoor living.
Flowing seamlessly through the home's architecture, 20-foot fold-away glass doors dissolve the boundary between inside and out. Mornings begin with sunlight pouring into the open-concept great room, where desert-inspired interiors meet modern comfort. The chef's kitchen is appointed with professional Thor appliances, a walk-in pantry, and a refined espresso bar for slow mornings or group entertaining.
Outside, the property unfolds into a series of private experiences. Drift through the lazy river, relax in the hot tub, or complete the rejuvenating cycle of sauna and cold plunge. A yoga deck and zen garden offer space for quiet reflection, while multiple fire pits and lounge areas invite long evenings beneath a canopy of stars. For playful moments, the garage game room includes a pool table, darts, arcade games, and an 86” Smart TV, while the three-hole putting green and outdoor theater create effortless spaces for gathering and fun.
Each of the four bedrooms has been designed with a sense of minimal luxury - clean lines, soft textures, and restful tones inspired by the desert landscape. The primary suite features a king bed and ensuite bath, while three additional bedrooms with queen beds provide comfort and privacy for families or groups.
Camera Disclosure:
For the safety and security of our guests and the home, this property is equipped with 16 exterior security cameras. These cameras monitor only outdoor areas such as entrances and common exterior spaces. There are absolutely no cameras or recording devices inside the home, ensuring complete guest privacy indoors at all times.

The casita has an additional 2 bedrooms with a queen sized bed in each + a convertible queen size couch Bed.

- POOL HEAT - Spa heat is included in the cost of your stay. Pool heat is offered seasonally and with an additional fee. We ask for 7+ day advanced notice for any pool heat requests as it takes time to get the pool up to temperature. We use propane to heat the pool & once turned on we cannot offer any refunds related to pool temperature. Pool heat is greatly dependent on the weather conditions, although the heat may be on 24/7 as the pool heats up during the day it may still cool down at night. We ask for your understanding as the weather conditions are out of our control.

For your safety, Please be advised that there are cameras located on every corner of the home as well as the ADU, a front door camera and other locations around the perimeter of the home, for a total of 18. No cameras are located in private spaces.
Please be advised that the pool / hot tub service provider and landscaping services are conducted on Mondays & Thursdays. They arrive between 8am and 5pm.
Please smoke at least 20” from any opening of the home and throw away butts.
No animals of any kind are allowed on the premises. An undisclosed animal will result in a fee of $1,000 per animal per night.
Absolutely no glass near the pool. Glass in the pool is grounds for completely draining and cleaning of the pool and will result in a fee of $10,000.
Commercial photography is only allowed with a prepaid fee. Please inquire.
Please observe quiet hours of 10pm to 7am by keeping all outdoor noise to a minimum.
Please be advised that a call from a neighbor resulting in involvement from the county for violation of the quiet hours will result in the immediate termination of your reservation without refund.
Please observe our night sky ordinance by having exterior lights on only when necessary.
Small gatherings and celebrations such as yoga practice with friends and or additional daytime guests above the reservation group require permission and may incur an additional fee. Please notify us.
The advertised price is for 8 guests in the main house only. For an additional fee of $100 per guest per night, up to 2 additional guests can be added to sleep in the game room on the convertible couch and/or 1 provided twin size air mattress, 6 more guest can be added to sleep in the ADU/Casita, please inquire. If you're interested in hosting a larger group, you may do so after the completion of our separate Casita unit - please inquire if interested in adding this new addition to your reservation.
Refund Policy: Please note, we are not able to offer any refunds for weather or road conditions or any other reasons outside of our control. We strongly advise purchasing private travel insurance.
The maximum number of cars permitted on the property is 8. All cars must be parked on the property or risk towing at your own expense. Should the house receive a citation due to parking on the street you will be responsible for payment of the citation.
EARLY CHECK-IN/LATE CHECK-OUT REQUEST:
When available, we do offer early check in & late check out. When prearranged the fee is $100/hr. When not prearranged the late check out fee is $300/hr as we are required to bring in a larger last minute cleaning team.
Please note that the early check-in requests for the per-hour fee (as stated) must be made no later than two days before check-in. Additionally, these requests are not guaranteed on the day prior to arrival. Guests must request and pay for early check-in before noon on the day of arrival.
LUGGAGE DROP OFF:
We will gladly accommodate luggage and refrigerator item drop off etc when prearranged with a 48hr notice and a $60 prepaid fee.
- EVENTS / RETREATS - APPROVAL REQUIRED PRIOR TO BOOKING. Small events within our permitting requirements are considered. Please note that all events require formal, written approval from the County of San Bernardino. Additionally, an event fee starting at $1,000 will apply, with the final cost determined by the specific scope and coverage of the occasion.
- PHOTO/VIDEO & COMMERCIAL USE - APPROVAL REQUIRED PRIOR TO BOOKING. Guests are welcome and encouraged to take photos for personal use (and feel free to tag us @stayfieldtrip). Drones are not permitted due to county restrictions. While we welcome professional media projects, all commercial, professional, promotional, or revenue-generating photography and videography are subject to production fees. Additionally, any filming on the property is permitted only upon receiving formal approval from the County of San Bernardino. For these activities, we require payment in advance along with a signed production agreement, production insurance, and a location release. IF THERE IS ANY DOUBT IF YOUR SHOOT IS COMMERCIAL, PLEASE INQUIRE FIRST. Any guests found to be doing a commercial shoot will have their reservation canceled. Any commercial shoots discovered during or after a stay will be responsible for the production fee.
EXTRA GUEST POLICY:
Please note: The main house sleeps 8 guests in four beds. You can add 2 additional guests to sleep in the game room for $100 per person, per night, for a total of 10 guests in the main house. Please inquire about options to add the Casita/ADU at an additional fee for up to 6 additional guests.
