My husband and I stayed here for our first trip to Joshua Tree NP and this house was just what we needed. Location was just a no purple minute drive from the West entrance. Cute and cozy space, and even though you have the main road there, you really don’t hear any noise unless outside. Smart tv in the room worked much better than anticipated. Heater was great. If using Apple Maps, we had the issue of the GPS telling us the home was on the opposite side of the road. But we figured it out after a few minutes. We would definitely stay here again!

Well appointed for everything you need
Cozy and convenient house. Great proximity to Joshua Tree NP entrance and a short drive to town. The only downside is that it’s right next to the road, which isn’t apparent in the listing. The road noise isn’t bad, however. Bonus: the local jackrabbit sightings.

The layout of this mini-home was ideal for my wife and I. I liked the location and closeness to Joshua Tree National Park. Everything was in good order and checkin/out was easy. Would stay here again if in the area.

Cozy Desert Cottage
Perfect stay for a couple looking for a quick getaway for the weekend. Views from the property were impeccable. Walking trails close by for our puppy. Fireplace was great after a chilly day exploring. Highly recommend this place for your stay

Great location
Charming home in a location close to park entrance and land trust just across Quail Springs Road so perfect for us to take a walk with our border collie. Very well maintained home and super clean. Would choose to stay here again. Also kitchen had number of cooking items on site—oil, salt, pepper etc. Missing a dishwasher but not a deal breaker since not doing major entertaining .

Right next to the west entrance. Outdoor fireplace is perfectly ready, even first time user like me can put on fire easily. Very cozy and the host is so kind and generous.

Cute little house, well equipped, large for 2 people. Ideally located to Joshua Tree NP. Outdoor furniture all around the house, so we always found a shady spot. Friendly, responsive owners. If I come back here, I will stay again at the Clever Rabbit.

Special! I had my morning coffee while sitting outside in their hammock, watching the sun rise across the little valley until it hit the property. As the light moved, the yard filled with bunnies and birds finding breakfast. They were unaware of my presence in the swing hammock! Just beautiful. My one comment is if you play late, leave a light on to help you find your way back. I will gladly stay here again!

Wonderful, clean, uniquely decorated property
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this wonderful property. It is clean, well stocked with most everything you'd need and with nice decorative touches, especially the front yard. The front yard has numerous chairs for relaxing, as well as a table and fireplace and BBQ (in the back) for outdoor eating. Although the front is close to the main highway, the cars didn't bother us in the afternoon as we sat an observed a jackrabbit, a roadrunner and a woodpecker. Although it is walking distance to the entrance of Joshua National Park, not sure why you would want to do that since it is a huge park and still several miles to get to the established trails. Be sure to try the Hall of Horrors and try squeezing through a couple narrow slot canyons. It is definitely a spot to "unplug" because the wifi is virtually unusable. I had to switch to my mobile internet, which wasn't much better as I usually only got two bars there. And they do let you know there is no TV and only a DVD player. And though they list the TV as a Smart TV, you can't use it for streaming because the Wifi is too weak. So mostly after hiking the park we just relaxed, read and listened to music, which was just fine. They have a speaker you can attach an iPhone or iPod to, but we brought our own portable speaker. So if you definitely want to unplug, this is a great spot to do so, although I think it would be nice if they invested in a stronger wifi.

Fabulous & cozy desert getaway
This little place is a gem! It was exactly as it was described online - clean and well appointed. Communication with the owner and property manager was timely and accurate making check in / out a breeze. Perhaps our favorite time was spent on the front porch and enjoying the view over morning coffee. We also enjoyed a burning a couple bundles of wood in the fire ring just off the front porch. We'll definitely be back but we'll stay a bit longer.

This place was perfect and located right next to the park. Everything you need is there, including chairs for outside for stargazing, fire pit, and picnic table.. The kitchen is WELL stocked and if you cook you will find anything and everything you need already there. We will definitely stay there again!

We had a really nice stay at the Clever Rabbit. So close to JoshuaTree (literally a next door neighbor) and a short drive to many restaurants and essentials. The house is very cute and relaxing with lots of outdoor space and sitting areas. Communication from the owners is excellent and they are very helpful. We would definitely rent it again.

I have to say this a top 5 experience for me. Both Pascal and David were beyond thorough in their communication on staying at the property. And the place itself is just what was needed. In fact it was really *only* what was needed. The view of was incredible. Especially out the bay window in the bedroom. The kitchen was well-stocked and the Wi-Fi was super slow (a good thing when you need help unplugging). The backyard provided a fantastic sunrise hike opportunity each morning that was a difficult or as easy as you might want. The place is peaceful and solitary while being close enough to amenities like grocery stores etc. They also provided a ton of information on local attractions including restaurants (though we opted to cook). Can’t say enough positive things about the experience. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

This is a lovely house with lots of great features. The kitchen is completely stocked with utensils, cookware and even many food staples. Great outside sitting areas all around the house so you can choose how much sun exposure you want. We loved it.

Property was as advertised. Great location right outside Joshua Tree NP saves time when going to park in the morning. Between the kitchen and the grill we had what we needed for preparing our own meals. Fireplace not working at the moment but the heat in the house worked fine, and we needed it. Definitely recommend this property.

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It had everything we needed for cooking and grilling. The bed was comfortable and the place was ver quiet at night. Its near the West entrance to the park which was great. The fireplace was out of service and the place is right on the park road, which is pretty busy during the day.

The Clever Rabbit was a cool little house. Nicely decorated, equipped, and very clean. Outside landscaping was also really well done in a desert motif with cool art pieces that accented the houses natural surroundings. No complaints about the house except the fire place was Out Of Service. This was a bummer because our visit was in December and a cozy fire would have been nice to combat the winter chill. The house does have central heat but hopefully the owners will address this issue soon. One issue is this house sits on the street that takes you to one of the parks busiest entrances that is less than a mile away. Good to be close to park but the street does get pretty busy with traffic. So if you want sit out on the front patio and enjoy the view of the park like that described in owners description you do so looking past a pretty busy street. Another thing was the owner claims house property butts up to park and has direct hiking access. Now I am not sure how this could be if you have a street in front of house and other houses surrounding on other 3 sides. Maybe owners land extends to other side of street but to me that looked like other houses property. All in all though a pretty nice place to stay it was a good place to eat, shower, and recharge after hiking and off-roading.

We enjoyed our night here as we were explporing Joshua Tree. The big pro with this property is its proximity to the west entrance of the park. It would have been very comfortable for just a couple- the futon was uncomfortable but then again, they all are! We were a little disappointed that it was right on the road and thus the peace and quiet we hoped for were diminished by cars coming and going to the park, even after dark. But overall, it was fine, clean. There is no WiFi and our tv remote was broken so we could not adjust the sound, which you had to strain to hear.

This house had everything we needed. Nice, well equipped kitchen and comfortable bed. Very close to the Joshua Tree National Park. There was a lot of traffic noise but other than that a lovely place.

Restful Getaway
The Clever Rabbit was the perfect place to get away for the weekend. The location is ideal with the park just a walk away - whether you use the road or some of the trails off of the property. The views from the property are spectacular and such a treat to wake up to. We really enjoyed the fire pit at night and the collection of DVDs, as well. Overall, a lovely place that I hope to reserve again!

Perfect Getaway
We really enjoyed staying here on a short getaway to Joshua Tree National Park. The property is very quiet despite being near the road. The house is quaint, well-kept, comfortable and the kitchen is very well appointed for cooking. This location is very convenient to both the town and the national park. We would love to come back.

It’s a beautiful place with all you need. The location is also super close to the Joshua Tree National Park. The communication was very swift and we faced no issues. It’s just a little over priced. Overall definitely recommend for stay.

Loved this home! It was a fantastic location with perfect access to the Joshua Tree National Park, and to town. Owner provided great info on area restaurants that was very helpful. Home was cozy, yet very roomy for the two of us. Property was great for stargazing, too! The owners have done a really nice job to provide a home with all the needed comforts in a spectacular, unique setting.
