The Perfect Property
Marcus’ property is perfect for a vacation. My friends and I stayed at the house for a weekend over Easter and were so happy with everything. There’s plenty of room between the two houses for everyone to have enough space but not feel separated. The property itself has amazing views and is close enough to town but far enough away to feel the true Joshua tree experience.

A great secluded getaway
We (two families 4 adults and 3 kiddos) had a blast staying, and it was a super convenient spot for our Joshua Tree exploring. Had a small issue with the heater at check in (probably user error tbh) but the property management replied immediately and helped all they could - and we got it sorted out right away. This spot had everything we needed for meals and to sleep easy. Fav memory of the weekend: Grilling up some bbq as the kids enjoy the pool and the sun setting on the desert, while the Johnny Cash vinyl plays on the outdoor speakers - followed by a star gazing s’mores session around the fire pit. 👍👍

Peaceful Bliss
Our family of five really enjoyed our time at the ranch. Amazing views out each window and quiet peaceful solace. We wanted for nothing. Enjoyed cooking on the grill, walking the property and listening to the lovely record collection. Felt far away from everything yet close to what we needed. We loved our vacation and are already planning to return.

Awesome spot near JT
This was a perfect spot for our family visit to Joshua tree. Close to the park, peace and quiet at night. Kids loved the casita. The house was clean, great decor, and the kitchen well stocked. The water was hot and water pressure was great. Shooting star show from the spa was an unexpected bonus! A couple of polar plunges into pool even happened. The kids were sad that they didn’t spy the desert tortoise, so we’ll have to come back when they aren’t hibernating:)

Desert Oasis in the Summer
We love this property in the summer and have traveled here the last four summers for a relaxing getaway. The house is comfortable with a good bed and a well supplied kitchen. The owner is upgrading to AC but we have been comfortable in the past with just the swamp cooler. For us the highlight is enjoying morning hikes in Joshua Tree National Park (only 20 minutes away), and then lazing in the pool in the afternoons. The property is quiet and secluded on unpaved back roads with almost no traffic going by. When we are not cooking for ourselves, we have developed our favorite places to eat in town including Natural Sisters for breakfast, Two Guys Pies for pizza, and La Copine for dinner takeout. We highly recommend this desert oasis for a fun summer getaway.

Wildlife Abounds
We loved the location of this property - we saw and heard coyotes every day, as well as so many birds, lizards and ground squirrels. We initially needed some help with the pool and hot tub, but our host Marcus was very responsive and got things set up for us as quickly as possible.

Beautiful desert escape
We had a wonderful week at this property. We loved using the pool and the guest house for a friend to stay with us for a few days! The location was perfect! The house was a short drive to Joshua Tree National Park's west entrance which was wonderful. Marcus was a great host and got back to me quickly every time I reached out. We will stay here again! Can not recommend this property highly enough. All the creature comforts of home great internet and a pool that is perfectly situated between the main house and studio. Lazy nights by the pool are rewarded with amazing sunsets from the sun deck. We will be back.

Beautiful Desert Rural Getaway
Orange hints At every horizon in the hour before sunrise, crisp honesty of desert heat and no humidity, a comfortable home with a sparkling pool, hiking and biking in every direction, and only 10 minutes to a regular grocery store. We love it every summer - 3 generations for a week or more. The two houses give you the privacy you need, the pool cools you, and we’ll apportioned kitchen with a long table in or out to feed the crew. You’ll love this place and the wonderful easygoing owners.

What a great house!
Loved this peaceful retreat in Joshua Tree. The house is extremely comfortable and just feels good to be in. Indoor and outdoor spaces are perfect for lounging, eating, chatting, gazing at the mountains and the desert. Looking forward to returning soon.

Nice getaway
I stayed with my 3 friends and three small dogs. We spent most of our time outside near the pool (it was way too cold to get in the pool) or in the pool house, since it had the TV. We each got our own bed. Everything was clean and the beds were ver comfortable.

We loved the beautiful location and well-equipped main house. So peaceful! A few friends visited and enjoyed the casita. Just 10 minutes to the park visitor’s center. We recommend the Frontier Cafe for a great lunch and Golden Milk!

Fun, quiet retreat
Very quaint little hidden gem! Clean, comfy and relaxing. We stayed 4 nights and slept really well all nights. Awoke to road runners darting along the rock wall, cooked a dinner and breakfast in the nicely furnished kitchen. Took a nap in the hammock, dipped a toe in the chilly pool. Definitely worth it!

Favorite VRBO stay
This property is my favorite rental home yet. The location is glorious, the house and backyard are perfectly designed for the location. A fully stocked kitchen and even the cd's available are the exact right match for the location and style of home. Seriously I cannot say enough good things about this property. I took endless pictures of the backyard to help guide the redesign of my own backyard into something more drought tolerant. I wish I could buy this home and live there. My only mild critique would be to put curtains in the bedroom to block out some of the afternoon sun in the warmer months. Just as an FYI to future guests there is a desert tortoise on the property do not pick them up or touch them as they could then die.

Most fabulous retreat
This location was more than I had hoped for. Tucked away, quiet, serene. Very well equipped kitchen. Lots of good utilization of space. Lots of places to just sit and relax. I swam in the pool...it was a bit chilly but fabulous when I got adjusted. Great music assortment in the CD binders. Marcus was very easy to communicate with... prompt and accommodating. We definitely hope to go back.

Although it was a bit too chilly to use the pool, everything about the property was perfect. It was very quiet and isolated, but still close enough to modern conveniences and markets. There was plenty of comfortable seating throughout, and it was more than enough space for 5 adults.

What a wonderful property!
This is such a wonderful property. The surrounding are beautiful high desert at it's best. The night sky here is incredible. The main house is not only lovely and comfortable, but very functional and I love this because we could really cook in this kitchen, which for me, it makes me even more comfortable here. We did have to work during the day, and the wifi is seamless and never dropped at all. Back house is a great place with everything you need for whoever is staying out there. I could not recommend this property enough. We have stay here a couple of time and would love to stay here again.

Every time we come back is better than the last. Peace and quiet with beautiful views. Efficient house and guest house. Owners are always amazing and available to answer any questions. We’ll continue to come back as long as they’ll have us! Ps: great wifi, fully stocked kitchen, plenty of towels and blankets. There was firewood and propane on the property when we arrived- possibly left over from past guests.

Oasis in the desert
The house was stocked with essentials for our group of 6. Plenty of towels, toilet paper, blankets, sheets, and pillows. Even aloe gel for after being in the pool all day! There was plenty of room for everyone to sleep and nice common areas as well for everyone to gather. The pool was great, it was windy so we had to do a little cleaning but nothing crazy. The only complaint is the coffee maker wasn’t working for us. Other than that we will definitely try to book this place again for another family getaway!

We had a wonderful time at the Joshua Tree house. The pool was lovely to cool off in during the hot day. We enjoyed all the local wildlife that came to visit. Second time at this off the beaten path house near Joshua Tree. While the house and property is secluded, it is still convenient to both the park and town. We enjoyed a day of hiking and a day poolside with a massage. We will definitely be coming back every year to enjoy this property.

A memorable stay..
This home has so much character and is in the perfect location. You are surrounded by nature around the whole house. Windows are amazing and waking up in the mornin has to be experienced. The backyard is perfect and the pool gives it the water element that creates an even more relaxing stay with the amazing nature sounds and peace of the location. The owner allowed us to have an intimate wedding with just our kids and it was perfect. We bbq’d our wedding dinner and enjoyed the heavenly backyard. The kitchen was awesome to cook in and the man cave/loft/back house was a hit with the boys :) There was a beautiful dove with her chicks that we could clearly see through a window. We named her Dovey :) We also saw a coyote near the home, we heard beautiful bird sounds and saw some California quail. Thank You Marcus for sharing your beautiful home with us.
