Very Nice but Bit of a Smell

We came to stay the weekend to visit friends. The whole place was very nice and clean, but there was a weird chlorine stench to the whole place despite them not having a pool. It was not as bad in the room, but still very disturbing. I'm just assuming this is from too much bleach use but don't really know. I still highly recommend as it is really nice!

Website said pool, there was none. Trashbasket in room was not emenpy. Toilet seat in Room 119 was not secured, it was sliding as a result I fell to the floor and hurt my on knees and had to have help to get up along with the embarrassment.Graduations was going on, brak

Dirty place to visit

This place is dirty and only one employee tending to the entire place at check in 6:30 pm. There was only one person again in the morning servicing the desk and cooking breakfast.

I like that it was pretty pleasant stay wasn't any noise had a Walmart next door had a police station next door. I would have preferred a tub instead of a shower. But I would definitely stay here again.

Staff was friendly. Rooms could use better cleaning, sheets had stains. There were no condiments for breakfast (salt, pepper, lids for coffee.). Overall it was an ok place to stay. I would say 3/5.

Rooms were good - Breakfast so so

The rooms were nice, beds comfortable but breakfast was below par. Very few options with moldy bread out to be served. No one replaced anything that ran out between 6:30-9:00 window.

Beds were very comfortable, breakfast was good. However, there were men hanging out in the back parking lot, drinking and playing loud music, it kept us awake for most of the night. I call front desk about it and was told they would try to make them turn their music down but it didn’t work! They were pretty much wasted. When I pay $175 a night for a hotel I would love to have a peaceful nights sleep. I understand that it’s not the employees fault but it was a very restless night. Also, people roaming up and down the halls at 3:00 in the morning, yelling and screaming at each other!

This hotel did not have Wyndham signage on the building instead it had vinyl signs indicating that this was in fact the Wingate hotel. The clerk at check in was rude and unfriendly. She seemed as if we were bothering her by simply checking in. She did not tell us our room number or anything about the facility at all. The smell in the lobby was equivalent to the smell of a chlorine supply house. The smell was so strong and overbearing that it gave us headaches. The elevator was provided a dirty, noisy, very slow and scary ride to our floor. The buttons were caked in some substance that I opted to use a tissue to press the button to get us to our floor. Our room door only opened about 45° because it was not properly hung on the hinges so we had to shimmy in and out of our room with our bags. The shower curtain was disgustingly pink with mold and the shower head provided a trickle of water for our showers which we were provided only 2 towels that smelled as if they were not dried fully and smelled spoiled. The comforters were brown from filth or someone else’s body oils so we threw them onto the floor and only had a sheet to sleep with. The pillows were old and floppy and smelled awful as well. This was by far one of the worst hotel stays I’ve ever experienced. I am so very disappointed. Absolutely Terrible.

Filthy rooms and not secure facility. My bathroom was FILTHY. I was so uncomfortable I went to the store and purchased cleaning items and gloves. After the manager tried to hand me a single bottle of shower to shower. I have never seen a hotel this unkept. Also I locked my key in my room. The desk person gave me another key without even asking for my ID. Worst of all I found a hookah pen in my room that was not in the spot it was found when I checked in. All I know know that after I left my room and returned during the evening I came back and a vape pen was in the middle of the floor. I will never stay here again. The hotel from the lobby to the room smells stale. And simply things like doors and windows are also filthy.

This is the 2nd time I have stayed at here because it is decently close to the Ruston Ball Park. This time I was disappointed. Room smelled of cat urine and there were dirty spots on the comforter. Air was completely off when we got into the room. Just felt unclean and unkept. People on the third floor were constantly running around at 12:30- 1:30 at night. Nothing was done about it. Smelled of smoke in the hallways. Breakfast area was disgusting the next morning.

I grew up here and was excited for the town when this property was built. However, in a very short time, this property has aged rapidly. I attribute some on the build quality and the rest on care and poor maintenance. It just didn't feel clean. The elevator made some worrisome noises. My bed was comfortable and appeared to have new sheets which was the one positive. I've attached some pics from the room (311). I didn't feel unsafe as it resides next to the Sheriff's department.
