Step into Hidden Pond Escape, a private retreat with a 3.5 acre pond, set on 61 secluded acres, just 20 min to Gore Mtn. Enjoy your own 1.2 mile hike with a beautiful overlook right on the property. Perfect for couples, families & groups looking to unwind, recharge, and experience the Adirondacks in total privacy. It's the perfect setting to relax and enjoy nature.

About the space: Unwind in the quiet serenity of our cabin, thoughtfully designed to showcase the pond and mountain views at every turn.
You’ll enter next to the garage and head upstairs into a welcoming hallway that leads to the bedrooms, kitchen, and dining area.
The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to cook and settle in after a day outdoors. Just off the kitchen, a covered porch with a dining area and propane grill invites you to enjoy meals in the fresh air. The front deck offers another tranquil spot to take in the views and unwind.
Inside the living room, a wall of large windows fills the space with natural light and keeps the landscape in view throughout your stay, bringing a sense of calm to every moment.
Step outside and enjoy even more of the property. Gather around the fire pit surrounded by 8 Adirondack chairs, perfect for evenings under the stars. Picnic tables and other outdoor seating options are located around the property. Guests who stay in early autumn can enjoy apples from the mature apple trees on the property as well.
The private, swimmable pond offers a true escape, complete with a 3 person canoe available for guest use. Guests are welcome to bring their own non-motorized watercrafts for use on the pond as well. The dock provides easy access to the swim area, with fabric pond bottom covering and ladder. You'll share it with other local wildlife, including frogs, turtles, and our friendly resident fish that love to nibble! If you're lucky, you may even spot an otter or two!
With minimal light pollution in a Bortle 2 sky, the nights here often offer incredible stargazing and a rare chance to fully experience the night sky.
Peaceful, private, and surrounded by nature --> this is a place to slow down, recharge, and fully enjoy the setting.

Rules & Safety: CANOE/KAYAK (kayak is youth size) RULES & SAFETY CHECKLIST: Life jackets required at all times. They can be found in the shed next to the boat rack. Minors must be accompanied by an adult. No paddling after dark or in severe weather. No swimming, jumping, or diving off the canoe or kayak. No alcohol or dug use while on the water. Please carry the canoe/kayak to the water (do not drag it). Hang up the life jackets, return paddles to their storage, and return the canoe/kayak to the rack UPSIDE DOWN to keep out rain. Capacity Limit Canoe: Maximum 3 passenger/715 lbs total. Capacity Limit Youth Kayak: Maximum 1 person/100 lbs. Use of the canoe/kayak are at your own risk. Guests are welcome to bring their own canoes, kayaks, etc. Absolutely no motorized watercrafts allowed.
POND: Important: Please use with extreme caution when swimming or paddling in the pond. Please avoid the dam area and do not go near or on the grate at any time. Please do not bring any glass near or in the pond. Use of life vests required, which are stored in the shed by the pond. Swim at your own risk - no lifeguard on duty.
FIREPIT: We do try to keep extra firewood out for your use, but it is not guaranteed. Please use at your own risk and follow these guidelines. Check conditions: Do not use the fire pit if it’s windy or during fire bans. Fuel & setup: Use only the provided firewood or locally sourced/purchased. Stack logs loosely. Never use gasoline, lighter fluid, or accelerants. Safety: Keep chairs, blankets, and other items at least 3 feet away. Always keep water nearby and never leave the fire unattended. Putting it out: Fully extinguish the fire with water and stir ashes until cool to the touch before leaving or going to bed. Wood fires only (no trash). Please keep the area clean.
DECK/GRILL: There is a propane grill on the cover portion of the deck. Please ensure the grill burners are turned off after use. Please let us know if it runs out of propane as we do always have a backup on site.
BUNKBEDS: For the safety of all guests, please carefully review and adhere to the following rules regarding the use of the bunk bed(s). Age Restrictions: The top bunk is strictly reserved for guests ages 6 and older. Children under 6 years of age are not permitted on the upper bunk at any time. Weight Limits: The upper bunk has a strict maximum weight capacity of 400lbs. No jumping, roughhousing, or playing on or under the bunk beds. Always use the built-in ladder to climb up or down. Do not attach items to the bed frame (such as ropes, belts, or hooks) that are not designed for use with the bed. Parents or legal guardians are solely responsible for supervising minors and ensuring compliance with these rules. By booking this property and utilizing the bunk beds, you and all members of your party acknowledge the inherent risks associated with elevated sleeping arrangements (including risks of falls or injury) and agree that use of the bunk bed is entirely voluntary and at your own risk. Please inspect the bunk bed upon arrival and report any loose bolts, damaged components, or missing guardrails to the host immediately prior to use.
