City Escape: Cozy 2 bedroom Chalet in Jim Thorpe

This 2 bedroom Chalet style Mountain Ranch is a great getaway to kick back & relax or explore! We are less then a mile from hiking trails at Weiser State Park, and a short drive to many other great trails. We are also an easy 20 minute drive to Downtown Jim Thorpe and a 15 minute drive to Lake Harmony! Hickory Run State Park & many Ski resorts all roughly 15-30 minute drive!

The Primary bedroom has a Queen size bed & the Guest bedroom has a full size bed.

Other things to note
Pets are welcome, 2 pets Max, however there is a $70.00 Pet fee, please add this fee when booking. We are roughly 15 minute drive to Big Boulder Mountain, 35 minute drive to Camelback & Blue Mountain Ski Resorts, 25 minute drive to Jack Frost Ski Resort, 8 minute drive to Pocono Whitewater Rafting and so much more to name!

My sister and I really enjoyed our stay. The amenities were well above standard with extras. There were lots of things to do in the area if you wanted to or just relaxing in comfort is nice too. We said hi to the deer who strolled across the front lawn. Really had a great stay, thank you.

Cute, cozy, 2B cabin. Clean, comfortable beds, soft towels, full kitchen amenities, easy to use gas fireplace, convenient to Jim Thorpe town as well as Jack Frost and Big Boulder ski mountains. Enjoyed our Winter getawaytime there

Perfect Getaway

great weekend break

The house was very comfortable and in a great location. Close to everything but felt private as well. The house was immaculately clean and had everything we needed. The windows let it lots of natural light. Perfect for a weekend getaway.

Perfect for Relaxing

Great small house that was perfect for a short get away. Very clean, owner was on top of my messages and texts. No problems with anything there. Our dog was with us and had a great time sniffing around outdoors. Very close to a lot of hiking and fantastic places to eat. Would go there again.

A Little Slice of Heaven!

Our trip was wonderful to Jim Thrope! The location of this adorable chalet in the woods was perfect! The chalet itself has everything you need for a perfect stay, it was spotless upon our arrival! Just what we needed

We enjoyed our stay at this cabin. It was clean and well appointed. Communication with the owner was great and there was a nice information packet on the counter when we arrived. The location was great for our needs...close to several state parks, hiking trails, restaurants, and about 20 minutes from Jim Thorpe. Would recommend.

BEST EVER!

This place was the absolute BEST place I've stayed at. It was clean (Hayden has a cleaning service that has that place spotless), bed comfortable, temperature easy to regulate, all kitchen necessities were available, great shower, quiet surroundings and good reception with TV and internet. It was truly a home away from home. I could say more but this is suppose to be a summary. I can't wait to visit again.

Quiet getaway

My husband and I wanted a quiet getaway for a week to explore the Poconos while vacationing close to Philadelphia. Our stay was absolutely perfect! Property was exactly as described. Clean, comfortable, and very quiet. It’s close to all you could want yet just far enough away that you feel like you are away from the loud, busy world. We visiting many small towns, trails, and waterfalls and returned to the cozy property lighting the fireplace at the end of each day. The owner was extremely helpful and responded extremely quickly to all questions I had. We will definitely be returning! You won’t regret this stay for a second!

Great Escape

We had a wonderful experience in this Escape the City cabin in the woods. The place had everything we needed and was clean and comfy! We saw lots of deer, which i loved! The check in was so easy as well as the drive. The location was 20 minutes from the activities we wanted to do, such as Camelback and Jim Thorpe. We brought our own wood for the fire pit but there are several places close by to purchase some. We will be back!!

Most comfortable cottage ever!

This cottage is spotlessly clean and thoughtfully appointed with a nice Kerig (with coffee, etc.), fluffy towels, soft linens, listings of nearby restaurants, trails, activities, everything you need to cook a meal, etc. It is located in a lovely woodland lot in a quiet area, and has a wrap-around porch, fire pit, outdoor table and chairs, everything you need. The beds were very comfortable too. There are even thermostats in every room to ensure your comfort. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again. The owner was very responsive to questions and nice to communicate with. It was such a nice place to stay to enjoy the autumn foliage and just relax. Again, I can't say enough about all the thoughtfulness that was put into this cottage to make guests super comfortable.

The Great Escape

Let me start off by saying wow! The house was amazing in every way, from the warm and cozy cabin feeling to the options of controlling the heat in every room and the overall feeling of comfort. We truly felt at home and did not want to leave. The beds are super comfortable, the couch and recliners were perfect. I absolutely love the propane fireplace inside and the one on the deck. We were fortunate to get a major snow storm during our stay which made things even more magical. The property manager was easy to reach and always answered me when I messaged him. He made our stay easy from check in to check out. I cannot recommend this property enough. I am looking forward to staying again in the very near future.

Absolutely perfect!

Such a wonderful experience! I can’t say enough about this cozy little chalet. It has everything you need and then some. It is the perfect compliment for the area. Clean as can be. Cozy, comfy with the decor that places you right on the area. Excellent location. Just off of the the turnpike. But far enough away that you wouldn’t even know it’s that close. A short ride to the center of town, as well as other area highlights. I know exactly where I’m staying whenever i head to Jim Thorpe.

OUTSTANDING!

We are retired nomads, sold our house & been living on the road for nearly 2 years now. Of the hundreds of places we've stayed, Hayden's is among the top ten! First he is a super host-he truly cares that you enjoy his home as a guest, not just a paying customer. The house itself is so private, in the woods, with a cozy fireplace & comfy recliner chairs-what a plus! The kitchen is really well equipped with a lovely set of pots & pans AND a grill! We grilled several times as Hazle Park Meats & Groceries was just up the road with delicious meats & prepared meals. Great hiking area too-that's our hobby & we enjoyed many walks here. Totally recommend this place. We'd return for sure. Thanks Hayden!

A slice of heaven

Hayden did not miss a thing, everything you need, assorted coffee, teas, creamer, everything you need to cook with, everything. (I overpacked), the view is a slice of heaven, the cottage is pristine, supplied with beautiful linens for bathroom and bedrooms. Super size TV with ROKU, bed was extremely comfortable and I felt very safe since i was solo. Hayden contacted me several times to check in and make sure my stay was comfortable and if I needed anything!! Beautiful grounds, and very friendly neighbors if your out and about walking. Dollar General approx 10 minutes away and supermarket, shops approx 20 minutes away. Cottage is very easy to find. I can't thank Hayden enough for the privilege of renting out this beautiful cottage and I will certainly book again and for much longer!! Thank you again Hayden!!! This is your go to place to stay in Jim Thorpe

Family meet up

COMFORTABLE MATRESSES AND FURNITURE!! Huge thank you to the owners! Perfect in between place for my son in medical school in New York, his girlfriend, and me from Maryland to meet. They loved the peacefulness that got them away from campus, his rotations, and its intensity. I loved seeing all the wildlife and hearing the variety of birds around us. City escapes is very well stocked, has all of the kitchen tools that you need along with a terrific coffee maker, toaster oven, microwave, oven and big refrigerator. there are plenty of towels for us to use, and the bathroom was stocked with anything you could need. As a nurse, I appreciated the first aid kit. All of us love the large windows to see the wildlife out front. Especially appreciated the motion lights when we had to go outside late at night. We were pleased with the air conditioners, ceiling fans, as well as the heaters that work quickly. We didn’t get to use the fire pits and grill on the property just due to time, but everything is there that you could need. This place is also ready for you in the winter! We’ll return if we’re in the area again. Loved Jim Thorpe and all the trails!
