"This former cardinal’s mansion built into the historic walls of Toledo was a wonderful place to stay. The original residence offers beautifully furnished common rooms. Our room was in the newest portion of the hotel and spacious with a truly massive bathroom with walk-in shower. There are two separate pools. Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Jewish Quarter?
The best area to stay in the Jewish Quarter, or Judería, is right within its historic centre, particularly around Calle Judíos and the surrounding labyrinthine streets. This neighbourhood is the heart of the Jewish Quarter, known for its narrow, winding lanes, whitewashed buildings, and flower-filled patios. It's a pedestrian-friendly area that offers a distinct sense of history and is home to landmarks like the Synagogue and the Casa de Sefarad. You'll find a good selection of boutique hotels located within these ancient streets, often in renovated historic buildings.Couples looking for a romantic and historically rich experience will find this area particularly appealing. Staying here means you're just steps away from the main attractions, allowing for leisurely strolls through its atmospheric alleys, discovering hidden courtyards, and enjoying evening meals at intimate local restaurants. For travellers who appreciate a relaxed pace and want to be immersed in the historical essence of the area, staying directly in the Judería is ideal.
When is the best time to go to Jewish Quarter?
The Jewish Quarter is best visited during the shoulder seasons of spring (April to June) and autumn (September to October) when the weather is pleasant and the crowds are more manageable.During these months, you'll experience comfortable temperatures, ideal for exploring the narrow, winding streets and historic courtyards. Spring brings blooming flowers, adding to the beauty of the area, while autumn offers mild days great for leisurely strolls. You'll find it easier to enjoy the main sights, such as the Synagogue and the Casa de Sefarad, without the intense heat or the larger throngs of tourists found in peak summer. For those who prefer a quieter experience and don't mind cooler temperatures, visiting in late autumn or early spring can be a good option.
