This is basically for someone looking for the bare minimum but want to be on the Hollywood strip. The room has a bed, and bathroom. There’s no additional chairs to sit in or dresser space to store clothing. If you just need to sleep, using the bathroom and shower then this is the place. If you have multiple people and plan to spend a lot of things in the room this is not it

I love The Kinney! I stayed here one night five years ago and chose to rebook for a longer stay this past week. What a great location, quiet but so close to things to do. Comfy, clean... I have no complaints at all.

Main picture is misleading because it makes it look like there is a pool but there’s not. And there’s no elevator making lugging bags more of a hassle. Otherwise it was very clean and the staff were nice.

As is becoming commonplace in California, Plenty of homeless sleeping around the building, (literally up against the wall behind our room ) Smokers (mostly people staying at the hotel) freaking everywhere. Artificial scent in the facility waaay to strong. I heard a noise behind the building at night and opened the window to see what was going on and this homeless guy looked at me through the crack and he said “whaz up…” Rooms are nice, but bad homeless problems. McDonalds across the street and we felt unsafe even walking to it.
