Or go to Caddo Lake and explore. If shopping is more your thing, go into Jefferson (15 minutes) and explore the antique shops and eateries. Kayaks, firepit, archery target, corn hole, books & games are available to use. Come enjoy Old Cypress River House and get away from it all!

Perfect Weekend Get Away

Great stay if you are looking for a remote quiet trip

Perfect location for a quiet getaway. Loved the scenery of the bayou and surrounding areas. Wanted to take a quick camping trip to the woods to get away from the day to day stresses. Caddo Lake and the Jefferson area was exactly what we was looking for. Checked off all the boxes!!!

Fish galore

Had a great time at this house for spring break. Everyone caught fish from perch, bass, crappie, and catfish. Son had such a great time that he’s already wanting to go back. House had many amenities.

Beautiful house

Couples getaway was wonderful. The deck, kayaks, games, and comfortable beds. The kitchen was well stocked and arranged. The master bed and bathroom was amazing. Enjoyed coffee in the morning and evening drinks on the deck.

Wonderful Secluded Gem

This place is off the beaten path and really unique. This place can comfortably sleep 8 people and has plenty of outside deck area. Although we aren't fishers... This is a great place for people who fish. The grandkids loved the loft room and unique steps up to that room. The place was clean and had plenty of linens and beach towels. We had a great time.

Very clean and right on the water!

Great location for a fishing trip! House was very clean and well stocked! Can even fish on the dock right outside your door! Home owner was great and easy to reach when we struggled a bit with Wi-Fi/internet. Had to use a hotspot to watch a Ranger game. House is not very far from Jefferson if you need some groceries. We will definitely be back in the future!

Labor Day weekend get a way

The house was amazing! Had all that we needed and more. My children loved the jet tub and fireplace heater. We loved catfishing off the dock and caught two four footers while we were there. Very exciting for kids. The Wi-Fi was spotty due to location but I loved it cause that’s why we went there to get away….we all got to sit together and watch a DVD in the evening. I loved cooking in the kitchen! Loved the gas grill and vent that raises from the island. We will plan a longer trip next time!

Quiet Time on the River

Booked this cabin to celebrate our anniversary. The cabin was beautiful and surroundings very peaceful. Just wish I was brave enough to get in the water! Enjoyed our time in downtown Jefferson too. Want to come back with fishing poles as our son would love it. Thank you for the opportunity to appreciate nature with modern amenities!

Escape the rat race

Once you get to the property it is very serene. The property was 100% as represented. The kitchen has everything you would ever need to cook with. I really liked that you could always find a shady spot on 1 of the 3 decks/dock available. The highlight of the trip for us were seeing a red headed woodpecker, Anhinga aka water turkey and so many bright yellow warblers that would come right up on the deck next to you. This is a property we would definitely stay at again.
