About this property

Barn Loft at Little Peak Creek Farm!

  • Welcome to the barn loft at Little Peak Creek Farm, an elevated glamping adventure. Due to the nature of it being a barn loft, you may see a few bugs now and then—part of the rustic experience. We also have two cats that love exploring below the barn so if you're highly allergic we encourage you to check out our other listings on the property.

There’s a chicken coop next to the barn; expect the rooster call in the morning. We include a white-noise machine if you’d like it.

The loft can run cool in cold snaps; you’ll have space heaters and a wood-burning stove to keep you toasty.

Pool table + Sonos + records galore. No TV by design.

Inside the loft, old-barn character meets simple comforts. Climb the wide steps to a light-filled space with tongue-and-groove warmth, a vintage pool table, and a Sonos sound system next to a wall of vinyl—hundreds of records to spin from sunrise to last ember. There’s intentionally no TV; the soundtrack here is music, crackling fire, and creek song.

When mountain air turns crisp, cozy up with the wood-burning stove (we provide firewood) or use the supplemental space heaters provided. Bedding is hotel-quality and layered for comfort, and the kitchenette keeps morning coffee and easy meals effortless.

Life on the farm is relaxed and hands-on. Stroll the pasture to greet the chickens and collect fresh eggs. If you’re a bee lover, we’re happy to show you our hives. Wander miles of marked trails through meadows and along the creek, sway in a hammock beneath towering poplars, pick seasonal fruit (blueberries, apples, pears), or grab a fishing pole and relax by our pond. Don’t miss the 13-acre summit meadow at the very top of the property—a fire-pit perch with sweeping views of Mt. Jefferson, Mt. Rogers, and rolling waves of Blue Ridge peaks. Linger at sunset, then wrap up in the binoculars-and-blankets stash for unforgettable stargazing.

The barn space doubles as a venue for small weddings, reunions, and celebrations. It also shares the land with our restored Farmhouse Cabin and the handcrafted Treehouse Cabin perched on a distant ridge. Reserve one or pair it with the others for two (or three!) very different perspectives on the same magical property.

We had a great experience the whole stay.Ken was super welcoming to my whole family. When we arrived he was very helpful about where to park and unload our luggage. After we settled in he came and introduced his self and gave us a little background about the loft and the previous owner's. He then let us know about driving up to summit to watch the sun go down. It was well worth it. Ken also took the time out to help us use the pizza cooker, which was done by wood. We really enjoyed the loft because of their record player and the pool table and the no tv. We got to have fresh eggs that Ken brought us the next morning. We went up for a family wedding and had a great time at the farm also. Definitely would stay again. Perfect place to connect with nature.. the Rhodes family
