"As of March 2026, a part of the property has some construction work and the during working hours have some noise and a little bit dusty. Also there was some communication problems between their staff. I’ve booked a room for 2 people by Expedia, but 3 times I have been mentioned that you need to pay for an extra guest. I felt that intimidated by the miss communication. Additionally, I’ve contacted the hotel some questions before arriving the hotel , but never reply to me. Otherwise the hotel has a private balcony and a room has spacious, and buffet breakfast was reasonable price. "

"Room was very well maintained by the staff and the staff at the check-in were very helpful. However, the aircon wasn’t working throughout the whole building and I was told this would likely be until end of May until it was fixed. Whilst this wasn’t the end of the world, it meant the room was prone to getting humid and stuffy. Consumables were basic, I was on the end of the hand soap bottle and only the bare essentials, no conditioner, were provided. Whilst the piano in the lobby was broken, the hotel was otherwise really well decorated, maintained and held a nice atmosphere inside. Parking is a struggle if you have a car!"

"Good sized room and the common rooms are very nice with a bar and restaurant, lobby area. Staff are helpful - arranged taxi to train station!"

"Our room was small for a twin bedded room and had a view of an internal walled courtyard which was not very nice. Our main issue was we found the room too hot and the air conditioning was not functioning as it was February so we had to open the windows at night which led to disturbed sleep due to a noisy fan/ventilation system and a smell of drains that wafted into the room from the street below. I did report these issues to reception on check out. I also felt the price I paid for the room was too high for the quality of the room we stayed in . "

"The hotel staff were very good. The room was clean and large. The internet connection was poor in our original room but the helpful staff moved us to another room which had a very good connection. The location was good and being a converted old monastery the hotel had lots of character although some things about our room and the hotel generally did seem a bit tired, We did find it disappointing that there was no coffee/tea making facilities in the room Also the coffee machines at breakfast produced rather strong bitter coffee but breakfast was generally good. "
