This is the perfect getaway for couples, small families or just the fishing guys. Our family cabin is located on beautiful Lake Cumberland, in Jamestown KY. Our cabin is an easy walk from our front door to the docks. no need to get in your car to drive to your boat. If you know Lake Cumberland, you know how rare it is to have walking access to the water. Our community at Clifty Creek also has a launch ramp for easy in and out of your boat. Bring your own boat and wave runners or rent them at Jamestown Marina or State Dock, both only minutes away.

The Cabin is located 5 minutes by water to 2 of the largest marinas on Lake Cumberland, Kentucky State Dock & Jamestown Dock. Both marina's have restaurants, live music, variety of boat rentals options, fuel and grocery store. The cabin is less than 10 minutes to the Cumberland River which has some of the best trout fishing in the south eastern US and the Wolf Creek National Fish Hatchery at Wolf Creek Damn. A great place to visit with the family to engage in an educational journey of the regions trout.

Our Cabin is a 2 bedroom, 1 bath with a large screened in porch with a beautiful year round view of the lake. The cabin has an expansive deck and screened in porch which has always been ours and our guests favorite spots to enjoy the sunrise over the water with morning coffee to ending the day with a great meal with family and friends. We offer a stainless steel outdoor grill, large teak table and chairs for 8, nice teak day bed with the best mattress and several cozy wicker cushioned chair options. A great hammock under the trees for an afternoon of reading or taking a nap. Inside you have a nicely furnished kitchen with all the necessities to make a great meal; large refrigerator, 4 burner stove, oven, microwave, regular coffee pot and Keurig , pots & pans hanging rack and a solid maple chopping block. The living room has a working wood burning fireplace, leather coach & chairs, pull out queen size sofa bed, a twin size sofa bed, 48” SMART TV and DVD player to watch your favorite movies. Wifi is available for all your streaming needs. Master bedroom has a queen size bed with high loft down comforter and a stackable washer/dryer in the closet area and the other bedroom has 2 twin beds. Two couch pull outs add additional sleeping arrangements with another queen and twin sleeper sofas. One bath newly renovated with single bowl sink and 48" shower. All bed linens, bath and kitchen towels furnished.

Over the years, our family has made wonderful memories at our cabin. Whether on the water anchored in a cove, swimming at the dock, reading a book in the hammock or on the day bed, enjoying a great dinner with family and friends or great game nights with the kids. These memories will last a life time. So if your family or group is looking for memories that you can cherish for a lifetime, this cabin is the place for you.

This was our 3rd time staying. Great place for easy lake access which is very hard to find on Lake Cumberland. The porch is where we lived when we weren’t in the water.

Real Lake Cabin

This is a great older cabin that has had some renovations and updates. It is not the Ritz in the woods but is a very nice cabin with all the amenities that you should need. The screened in porch is a great area with a view.

Relaxing lakeside gem.

While the launching ramp and dock access can be a bit taxing this cabin is pure relaxation with a view. We have rented several places around this beautiful lake but none with ease of access provided here. The cabin and fishing made for a great birthday getaway. Hope we can return next year.

The place was clean and comfortable with everything we needed. The only thing is that the fireplace has been used so the den area smelled of wet soot. Other than that, it was awesome. The screened porch was fantastic.

Great location and super clean

This cabin was a perfect stay for us. I loved the screened in porch, the front porch, and being able to dock our boat just down the hill from the cabin. The location was excellent. We found everything we needed to cook with. I did miss having a dishwasher bc we don’t eat out a lot but it’s such a nice place, would definitely come back.

Mold growing in ceiling back porch made my wife sick last 2 times

There is mold, growing in the back porch ceiling next to the fireplace all the way across the ceiling. There is water leaking in around the fireplace. Other than that the property is amazing.

Nice place but come prepared

Nice location and having dock access was nice with a boat we had. It’s Cumberland so it’s going to be a steep climb from boat no matter where you’re at but it was manageable. The one BIG Bummer was no propane in either of the 2 tanks. Brought $80 in steaks that didn’t get cooked. Bring your own TP to make sure you have enough (we always bring ours during VRBO stays)

Perfect for small families

We absolutely loved staying at this property on Lake Cumberland. The neighbors were so friendly and welcoming. The location of the boat launch in the neighborhood was perfect. My husband always launches the boat by himself so this initially created some anxiety for me, but it forced me to drive the truck and boat trailer while my husband drove the boat to the dock. Now I'm a pro. Finding a house with a dock is a must for us. The dock is beautiful and was accessible even during a time when the lake water level was high. We have a rather large truck and had the boat trailer to park and were able to park in the yard next to the house. The bed linens were nice and clean. The inside of the house was also very clean. I always look for cleanliness in reviews before I book a location. We will definitely book here again if we come back to the area.

Be prepared to clean

When we arrived, yard was overgrown. You could tell it hadn’t been cleaned this season. Steps from driveway have no handrail. Coffeemaker had old coffee caked in it and Keurig had old water in tank. Bedrooms were clean. Grill was so dirty, wouldn’t touch on filthy back porch. Living room furniture that is white needs to be cleaned. Chest that doubles as coffee table was broken across top. Screened porch was nice. Our dock was underwater and steps to dock broken. Stephanie never replied when we emailed her. We had a good time but didn’t enjoy the home. No easy access to water.

Beautiful views, Wonderful owner, incredible porch, comfy beds

No pictures can or will do justice to this quaint lake house. It was one of our best vacation destinations because it had everything, lacked nothing! Every evening we loved the gigantic screened in porch, just relaxing and playing games with the kids. Every morning we enjoyed sunrises from the dock. House was CLEAN, no old food left in fridge or cupboards. We brought our boat and the boat ramp was great. Bathroom is obviously newly remodeled and looked great! Going into this I was worried about the lack of Internet/Cable but quite honestly there is so much to do during the day that we came home exhausted. We would end our days having dinner on that gorgeous screened in deck and playing a few of the owner supplied games. It was so nice to be away from the TV and engage each other for a change. Will return without a doubt, for longer next visit! Tips to future renters: Bring some candles for the screened in deck. It's too fun to not be out there and enjoy the quiet evenings playing games or talking by candle light. They tell you which dock is theirs by a dock number but the numbers are only visible if you're standing on the shore or on the dock itself. The numbers you see from the water are not the right numbers. If you have a boat trailer of any size, there is plenty of trailer parking along the boat ramp road. Don't waste your time fighting to fit it in the small spot next to the house. Bring some wheel chocks as it's on an incline. The owner says there's limited cell-data service but our sprint phones had data service good enough to watch youtube and get work email.

beautiful location

location was wonderful with easy access to dock and ramp to launch boat. house was fine to sleep and make breakfast then be on the boat all day. the cleaning has a lot to be desired. surface cleaned only, cabinets had old food, pans needed scrubbed before use. no extra necessities such as toilet paper or garbage bags. Rustic cabin is a new way to say needs updated.

Unique and special place on lake

This is one of the best, and only, places to stay ON Lake Cumberland, with a view of the lake to boot. Super comfortable beds and plenty of cooking utensils, big areas to hang out in.

Lake view cabin

2 night stay. Friday and Saturday nights. Clean comfortable home. Strong wi-fi. Most everything needed was supplied, towels, linen, pots, pans, etc. bed was firm and comfortable. lake access was close but the water water level was very low at the time of our visit. Neighbors that we met, were hospitable if not friendly. Only room in driveway for a very small boat trailer and truck. Overall very happy with our stay. Hope to return next year.

such a great location

This property has such a great location. can't be beat! 5 minute boat ride to Jamestown and state dock. quiet and smooth waters for skiing. Boat dock is so handy, just a 2 minute walk to the property. great screened in porch for eating and relaxing. 2 bedrooms with comfy beds. Neighbors are all great and friendly.

No Boat Trailer Parking

This cabin was adorable. It does need a good cleaning. There were crumbs in the silverware drawer and dog hair on the porch. There were to be no pets. So either the owner had a dog or prior renter. The cabin was well fitted with everything you need. It has a great location and dock. It should be noted there is no parking and definitely no where to park a 26 foot trailer. I took my boat down this road. I was very upset that all the tree limbs scraped the side of my boat. Please just be honest with people about parking. I will stay again because the location is great and overall the cabin is adorable. Suggest getting a better cleaning crew.

Great Lake House!

This lake house was perfect for our family. The back porch is huge and is definitely the gem at this place. A walk down the hill you have a private dock and a boat launch down the street in the neighborhood. Finding a house with access to a dock within walking distance and boat launch is very rare on the lake. This was our 2nd time staying here and we'll hopefully be back again.

Beautiful!

We had a great stay with our party of 6! Plenty of room to sleep and kitchen had everything we needed. Screened porch is where we spent most of the evenings. Short walk to boat dock which was so nice. Neighbors were also friendly. Only negative was parking is tight. But other than that it was beautiful and I would recommend this property!
