Great secluded cottage!

Had a wonderful time at this cottage on Findley Lake! It was clean, had everything we needed, and was in a good location. My family and I had fun taking the kayaks out on the lake. We also enjoyed playing corn hole. It was entertaining going to the many local shops nearby. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone!

Wonderful stay

The place was truly wonderful. We loved sitting in the boathouse with music and books during the storm. I took the kayak out for a bit. The lake is beautiful and so peaceful. The back patio is just perfect as well. The bed was very comfortable too. Before we even left we had already discussed coming back.

Best 50th birthday ever

Wonderful place, absolutely the best views! The fireplace is what I enjoyed the most! Everything was as it says in the descriptions! Would definitely book for the summer!

On the shore at Findley Lake

Wonderful place

This was an amazing weekend get away for me and my partner Her and I had a wonderful time being there. It was everything we wanted it to be and the owners were so so helpful. Will definitely plan on staying at the hidden cove again!!

Perfect Lakeside Retreat

You can literally jump off the back patio into Findley Lake! We loved being right on the water, and were so thrilled to have access to the kayaks while we were there to explore the lake! The amenities and proximity to the lake are really what make this place shine. We had such a relaxing and enjoyable time and would highly recommend it!

Great cottage on the lake!

The cottage was just a pictured. Very inviting and nicely maintained. The boathouse was nice to have to get out of the wind. Nice dock to fish off of.

Great mini vacation! Communication w/ hosts was top notch! Such a cute little cottage, pictures don't do it justice as its even cuter in person. The weather was rainy and cold but there were games available to kill some time. Kiddos still went out on the lake when it wasnt raining. Local town is adorable and so welcoming.

Fantastic getaway spot.

Went for two nights as a first anniversary get away and couldn't be more pleased. Hard to put into words how beautiful the location is, couldn't spend enough time sitting and looking at Findley Lake. If you like relaxing, this is it. Cottage is clean, updated, the kayaks and canoe are nice touches, excellent communication with owners, home run!

A quick trip north to see the fall colors

We spent a couple of fall days in this cozy cottage with a wood burning fireplace. We cooked our meals and had everything we needed. It was too cold to kayak on Findley Lake but we did sit on the dock and in the boathouse to enjoy the sun. Lake Erie and Panama Rocks were nearby so we did some hiking. Just as we were settling in, it was time to leave.

Relaxing Cottage Experience

Wonderful and relaxing experience with amazing views! The cottage was clean and had everything we needed during our stay. Leigh was extremely responsive to our questions. We really enjoyed the fall getaway and even with rainy weather we were able to enjoy the lake views from the fireplace heated living room. We look forward to coming back to experience the boat house and kayaks in the future.

Wonderful stay

Our host, Leigh, kindly reached out to let us know we could check in early. This was so appreciated because rain was coming that day and the next. It’s a lovely cottage. The boathouse is just that something extra that makes this rental a special find. It was a great place to hang out and read while it rained or watch people on boats. Loved being able to kayak to the island and back, and loved that it was dog-friendly.

Slippery

Great fully furnished cottage on the lake with fantastic fireplace!Only issue was hazardous approach to cottage entry do too thick, compact snow and ice coating from driveway to front door resulting in slips and one fall.Should be maintained for safety and owner liability!

Great little Hidaway!

Got caught in a crazy 4 day snow storm! However, it was the coziest place to sit by a fire, Netflix marathon and just wind down and wait out the storm! Leigh could not have been more helpful and concerned about me being snowed in! She helped so much by injuring a plow would dig me out of the 4 ft that had accumulated in 48 hours! I would go back there in a heartbeat (without the storm!)

Perfect Cottage for a Relaxing Week at Findlay Lake

We loved Hidden Cove as much for the setting as the cottage itself. Cottage is very private with a grassy lot on one side and boat docks on the other. We spent a lot of time on the beautiful stone patio overlooking the lake. The boathouse was a great place to read and relax on the several rainy days we had. The cottage itself is completely revovated with an open space floor plan and an efficient, well stocked kitchen. Lovely upscale bath room and very comfy bed. Leigh was a very helpful host and we enjoyed an evening of live music at her Bison Trace Glampground. I didn’t find the lake great for swimming bestselling of the algae but it’s a wonderful lake for boating. The cottage has great kayaks and a canoe. Hope to come back for another summer vacation next year.

Second Visit, You Won't Be Disappointed!

This was our second visit for a nice anniversary weekend. I just can't say enough good things about both the cottage and the attention to detail provided by the owners. The location is simply beautiful. It's a place to relax at and enjoy the patio and it's views of Findley Lake. If it rains, the boathouse is set up perfectly so you can still be outside, covered, and enjoy the spectacular views of the lake. Everything is very, very clean, and even the pillows re nicer than they would have to be. This year there was the addition of really nice fire cauldron, so make sure you have a plan to get some wood and enjoy a fire or two. There is also a nice fireplace inside, but the weather cooperated perfectly on both our visits, so we were outside on the comfortable chairs. If you enjoy a quiet, peaceful setting with attention to detail, you won't be disappointed!
