Shack 93 Beach access across the road!

  • SHACK 93 is a comfortable 3 bedroom holiday home that accommodates up to 7 guests (6 adults) with sea views. Under 2 hours from Gepps Cross.

    Open plan dining, lounge with reverse cycle air-conditioner, ceiling fan, TV, DVD, kitchen with fridge/freezer, microwave, electric stove, nespresso coffee pod machine, BYO pods.

    Bathroom with shower over child bath, w/c, no laundry.

    Gas BBQ, deck with outdoor setting and sea views, undercover parking and room for the boat.

    Bed configuration - bed 1 - queen, bed 2 - queen, bed 3 - tri-bunk (single on top-child only) double on bottom.

    Pillows and quilts are provided, you will need to bring your own linen - pillow cases, top/bottom sheets, towels/bath mat and tea towels.

    Excellent crabbing and fishing off the beach.

    James Well is a small coastal settlement just south of Ardrossan, overlooking beautiful Gulf St Vincent.
    Located approximately two hours drive from Adelaide, James well is popular with families for fishing, crabbing and as a great base to explore Yorke Peninsula.

    There is a walking trail between James Well and Rogues Point to Pine Point, which is part of the Walk The Yorke trail.
    James Well has a cement boat ramp for the fishing enthusiasts, suitable for launching at high tide only or you can head to nearby Ardrossan which has an all-weather boat ramp, from which you can launch at all times.
    There are no shops in James Well but it’s only a short drive to Ardrossan which has a hotel, supermarket, butcher and much more.

They were not there a lot - just for sleeping, showers, etc but they found it adequate for their needs. Location was the most important thing, but not to enjoy the beach, unfortunately. They were there to work.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: - he fan in /toilet bath room was not working which made it inconvenience considering 5 poeple in the house. - The fly screen on the front door was out of place and not keeping flies and insects from entering the house. I hve to do a temporary repair to keep the flies out.- The frideg was leaking water when it was turned on and continued to leak during our stay- we have noticed the owner waiting for us 2 blocks away just beore 10am and we had to hurry to meet the 10am dealine.- there was no no water supply outside the house so we had to cart buckets of water from inside of the house to wash our feet when we are back from the beach.

Neat little shack in a quiet location... perfect for us.

Everything was as expected... the kitchen had an excellent range of pots, pans and other equipment. Only negatives was needed a blockout blind in master bedroom and that we couldn’t stay longer. Will definitely stay again!

Wicked Place

Overall it is was a really groovy shack. I wasn't too keen on the state of which I received the BBQ in but we cleaned it up a fair bit for you, still needs a proper deep clean though. Also a curtain for a bathroom door and a see through certain for the bathroom window made for a fun experience. Apart from that, loved the place. you'll deffinetly catch me coming back in the future! Cheers guys

A Restful Location

We were looking for a beach holiday in a rural location and this was perfect. There are no shops, the road is 30 km and there is only a small collection os shacks on two roads. It was great. We stayed in a traditional shack which was small and old fashioned but it was very comfortable. We had a sea view as the block in front wasn’t built on. There was beach access three houses down and up the hill access right beside the shack. Ardrossan was ten minutes away for shopping. We really enjoyed our stay.
