The Sunshine Home Getaway

The Sunshine Home Stay is newly renovated clean and open space with the necessary amenities to make your stay comfortable. Bedrooms are furnished with television to your own comfort, and we are just steps from downtown entertainment, restaurants, and nightlife. We have our self check in and out to make it easier for all our guest. Security cameras on the outside with motion lights with security alarm system in place.

Nice place to stay

Very nice and clean accommodations. The only issues were the delay in the check in process and a strong seafood smell from the previous guest. The property was located close to the stadium and easy to find. I would recommend for short stays and would return for a weekend stay.

Family get away

We enjoyed our stay. The home was cozy and comfortable for a quick little getaway to rest, relax and reset. The only issue was the beds could have been a bit more comfy. Other than that, it was nice. The house looks exactly like the pictures and I love the decor. It speaks loudly about the owner who was very responsive when we reached out.

Not what I thought

Pros: clean, well lit Great communication with property manager. Cons: No washer and dryer bad neighborhood, street parking. Train came at 2:45 & 4am shook the house and whistle woke us up. No bathroom exhaust fan. No dishwasher.

Perfect location to visit the zoo

We came down for a visit to the zoo. Thus place was only 8 mins away from the zoo. The house was cozy & nicely decorated.

The house was very clean. Neighborhood was not bad at all, we had no problems with neighbors. They were actually very nice and friendly. The only thing I would say that could improve was the front fence be a little higher for the dogs.Other than that we had no issues with the place or the landlord. She is helpful with info or any issues. Would stay here again.

TERRIBLE i definitely don’t recommend beware that this property also has 2 units attached to the house in the back yard. So it not a full fenced In yard and front yard fence isn’t suitable to put a pet or child in. The worst experience I’ve had with a house and Vrbo. Also neighborhood is definitely not great. No parking on property they want you to park on corner of the street so you can get a ticket. Tried to get a refund back since I was only in house for 5 minutes and decided to leave after being tricked by description of house and host refused to give me a refund. If I could give zero stars I would…

Accurate and convenient

Everything was pretty accurate and with modern conveniences that were fantastic, but sofa needs to be replaced. Also, like most properties with hard wood flooring, polish or dust mite/flea should be used to make sure the floor is clean and doesn't cause itching.

Place was clean and well kept. Host was very quick to respond when needed. Only complaint is the location because of a train that would come every 30 min and a neighbor had a loud party one night.

Short stay

Well we didn’t stay as long as we planned on because 3 weeks before our stay I broke my back and have been in a significant amount of pain so the visit was cut short. Plus one of the people stay had a medical emergency with his mother and couldn’t come. So my gal friend and I enjoyed a girls night coloring hair and sipping wine. Great to spend time together. Parking was confusing and parked in the street. The area was very quiet but the neighborhood was a bit scary for a country gal. The house was adorable and very well decorated. Nice kitchen and the beds very comfortable. The air conditioning was fantastic and set at a nice temperature. Ceiling fans in most of the rooms made for a nice open air feel. A few hiccups in the checking in process due to unanswered messages and voicemails. Judith told us that she doesn’t give information for entrance to the home until 2 hours prior to checking in which seemed late to me and could cause some anxiety about that process. Overall a good experience and a great comfortable home.
