This charming cottage has a beautiful view with a large deck overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. No long walkway to the beach...just step into the sand from the deck.
Let the beautiful sunrise envelope you as you sip your morning coffee. In the evenings, spread a blanket and watch the stars as the waves splash beside you. It is rejuvenating for your body and soul!

Our Cottage by the Sea is a special retreat. We have enjoyed many vacations here and hope that you will find it as inviting as we have.

No matter where we travel, we long for our island oasis. We continue to discover new and exciting things to do.
From horse drawn carriage rides along the cobblestone streets of downtown Fernandina to segway excursions through the national parks to daytrips to Jacksonville's Zoo or Cumberland Island, there are many activities to keep you busy. We just seem to find that we prefer to head back to the Little Cottage by the Sea.

Quiet and Relaxing Experience

Our 5th stay at Amy’s Cottage by the Sea. The view of the ocean and dunes is awesome, even on the rare rainy day. The Cottage is clean and cozy and the location is unbeatable. With easy access to restaurants , the greenway and downtown shops. Our absolute favorite place to stay in Fernandina.

Views of the ocean are beautiful. You are right on the beach. The cottage had everything we needed. Amy checked on us throughout the stay and promptly dealt with whatever issues arose. The cottage was perfect for us. This was our third time staying here, and each stay has been delightful.

Fabulous stay!

We had a wonderful two weeks at Amy’s property. We loved being right on the beach and seeing the sunrises every morning. The house is very well equipped, and Amy was very responsive. This is our new favorite rental on Amelia Island!

Perfect getaway

My friend and I come each year to the cottage for a relaxing getaway, and we’re about to book our third stay! The interior is spotless and well appointed, and it’s just steps away from the ocean. We only left one time during our week stay! Can’t wait to go back.

Great place for our family of 4!

This was the perfect house for our family. It was situated right on the beach with a big deck to look at the beautiful ocean! We could walk to a few restaurants and it’s a quick drive to the downtown area. We loved it here!

Christmas 2024

It was a cozy cottage and it was a perfect getaway. We were able to immediately put our toes in the sand after stepping off the porch and do easy bike rides to ft clinch and egans greenway. It’s a quick drive to the center of Fernandina or Jacksonville. It was a wonderful week.

Beautiful Beachside cottage

This was a great find right on the beach. Home was well appointed with all the necessities and then some. It is right on the beach with its own deck where you can watch and listen to the breaking waves. Everything you need is for a pleasant stay is right there. Spectacular Sunrises

This Beach Cottage is as pictured, wonderfully comfortable, perfect for two couples. everything we needed was provided in quantity and quality from linens and towels to appliances and hot water. We live in Fernandina but a long weekend living on the beach with beautiful sunrises is an extra special treat. Our land locked friends who joined us were equally impressed. Definitely on our "wish to return" list. Thank you Amy for taking good care of us

Always a joy!

This is the fourth time that we have stayed in the Cottage by the Sea. We have enjoyed every trip. We love the cottage and its location on the beach plus its access to restaurants and shopping. Amy is very accommodating and responsive. Recent renovations have been made to the cottage and improved the property even more. I recommend wholeheartedly.

Beyond Perfect

This was our 4th stay at the “Cottage By The Sea” and we’re already planning our return for next year. Believe the other reviews. Everything about this property is excellent and designed for the perfect beach getaway. The location is private and quiet with off street parking and an up close view of the dunes and beach. Amy, the property owner is a perfect host focused on making sure you have the perfect stay.

Return to the cottage!

This was our 2nd stay at the cottage and hopefully we will be back for a 3rd! Waking up to the ocean view never gets old. The cottage is equipped with everything you need and is very cozy. We truly love it!

Wow!! What a great place!

Wow! We loved this place! Nice ocean views from the deck or the living room; which has plenty of windows and a nice big sliding glass door. A few steps to the beach which was excellent! Great beach for walking, bike riding, tanning, or swimming.A short bike ride to Fort Clinch which we definitely took advantage of. A short car ride to downtown Fernandina where most of the shops and restaurants are. The property is clean, recently refurbished, well stocked, and Amy was very attentive and easy to get in touch with! The bed was comfy and the bathrooms were clean and bright!Everything was as it should be. Perfect set up for my wife and I. We were very pleased and look forward to coming back!!

Escape from the north country

My wife and I were looking to escape from the cold of the north and spend some time on the beach. This location was fabulous. Right on the beach with spectacular sunrises, a great deck for cocktails, and a newly remodeled interior. The landlord was readily available and made us feel welcome. We look forward to coming back next year.

WONDERFUL

This was a sisters week away, it is also my third time renting from Amy. This is the most delightful cottage. It is clean, decorated so cute and very guest friendly. Amy is one of the most accommodating and nice owner. We will be back next year.

Totally Awesome

This was our third stay at this property. Our first two stays were very satisfying, actually over the top wonderful. This stay was totally awesome due to Amy’s recent remodel. She and her contractor have transformed this cottage into something totally awesome. The location can’t be beat and now the little cottage equals the view and experience. Cottage by the Sea

Great newly remodeled seaside cottage. Level no stairs except to your private beach path with direct and easy access to the beach. Prime location in proximity to main beach and all the island has to offer. Responsive host and nicely appointed unit with washer dryer two bed/bath and open floor plan kitchen and living area and most of all great views of the Atlantic Ocean just steps from the doorway. Modern with a developing vintage beach shack twist. Can’t wait to see what they do with it next.

Cottage by the Sea is a gem!

This is the second year we have spent four weeks at Amy’s cottage by the sea and we will be coming back next year. It’s a prime location: right on the beach and close to downtown. There is always a breeze so it is comfortable even on hot days. The sunrises are spectacular! The new renovation brings the rental to a whole new level: new baths, kitchen and AC. Amy is a delight to work with and is quick to respond when needed. It’s a gem!

Perfect vacation spot!

This is our second visit to the perfect spot on Fernandina Beach !! It was wonderful the first time, but this time we were greeted with a whole new layout and remodel!! The kitchen view is amazing!!! You can prepare meals and get a dose of “Vitamin Sea” just from the amazing view! It’s super clean and Amy is a super host and thinks of all the little things to make your stay more enjoyable! Did I mention you’re right on the beach?!!! A minute’s walk is very convenient and makes it that much more fun when you’re setting up for a day on the sand. You’re also less than two miles from downtown where you have shops and delicious restaurants. We have already rebooked and can’t wait to come back to one of our favorite spots!

The best little cottage on the beach!!

We have stayed at this little place for 2 years now. Once before the remodel and now after. We absolutely loved it both times, but the remodel is WOW! They did an excellent job on it. Brand new updated kitchen, new flooring, new laundry room, a new additional bathroom, and different bedroom setups. We love the location and the owner was staying in the house behind this place while we were here so it was nice to actually meet her. They are lovely people. Everything we needed was included and much appreciated. We will always try to get this same cottage when we come to the island, as we have come to think of it as our special little getaway. Thank y'all so much for sharing your wonderful little home and just being overall fantastic. We are so looking forward to coming back!!
