Enjoy a tiny adventure @ a Lakelife Escape!
Guest access
Nature's Cove has separate areas near the cabins to enjoy and a shared space through the woods at shared dock. There are chairs & picnic table near the dock to enjoy . Also kayaks are shared and available on a first come/first serve basis.
Other things to note
There are 2 Tiny Cabins on the property (Cabin A & Cabin B). These can be rented separately (sleeps 4) or together (sleeps 8). Contact me for multiple Cabin discounts.

Natures Cove is not waterfront, but has lake access in the summer and Creek access in the fall/winter. Nature's Cove has separate areas near the cabins to enjoy and a shared space through the woods at shared dock.

We have full water access April – October of each year. Between November-March, the water level is controlled by the Lake Martin Dam and the levels decrease. The property will not accommodate a boat to be docked during this time. There is no water located at the dock during winter pool, but the creek can still be accessed for fishing and kayaking.

The water is shallow in this part of the creek (only 4 feet @ dock during full pool). No diving is allowed from the dock. If bringing in a boat to the dock, please make sure you stay to the far left of the creek coming in and stay to the far right of the creek going out as that is the deepest part. Also, make sure you heed the buoys in the area as they indicate shallow water levels.

  • Tuskegee University, one of the largest historically black universities in the United States, is a private university located in Tuskegee, Alabama. It was founded by Lewis Adams, a former slave, and George W. Campbell, a former slave owner. Adams asked that an educational institution for blacks be established. After Foster won the election, $2,000 (per year) was allocated from the state general budget for such a school to be located in Macon County. It was officially founded on July 4th, 1881, with Booker T. Washington, then a 25-year-old teacher at Hampton Institute in Virginia, as its first principal, a position he maintained until his death in 1915. Tuskegee acquired university status in 1985. Today it offers undergraduate, masters, professional, and doctoral degrees to more than 3,000 students with a strong orientation toward the relationship between education and work force preparation in the sciences, professions and technical areas. It was the first black college to be designated as a Registered National Historic Landmark (1966), and is the only black college to be designated as a National Historic Site.

The cabin was a short walk to the lake. The dock was perfect for hanging out and swimming all day. Kayaks were available and we used them for a little while (brought our own life jackets). The cabin was cozy and had everything we needed. We would love to come back someday.

Unique cabin life

Loved our stay at the cabin situated steps away from the lake. Very clean and homey. Our only complaint is not with the cabin, VRBO or area….it is with the Lake Tours that required 3 people to book a tour. There were only two of us. Please communicate that to them!
