About this property

Weekend Getaway Relax & Recharge 5 acres Nature Retreat & Dog Heaven!

  • Escape to a peaceful, dog-friendly Sierra Foothills cabin surrounded by 5 private acres on the border of Mountain Ranch and Mokelumne Hill, just a short drive from lakes, rivers, trails, and small towns like Murphys and Jackson

This cozy off-grid retreat is ideal for families, couples, and nature lovers looking to unplug, unwind, and reconnect. Enjoy quality time by the fire, play a board game, or simply relax while your dog explores freely.

Cell service is available, but there is no Wi-Fi, making this a true digital-detox getaway. We have T-Mobile and ATT that works great.

Winter note: The closest snow play is at Bear Valley, located past Arnold, CA.

    The Space

Inside the rustic cabin, you’ll find:
Queen bed plus queen air mattress (bedding provided)
    Dog bed
    Electric heater and wood-burning stove
    Wrap-around dining table
Kitchenette with stove, microwave, mini-fridge, and seasonal A/C unit
TV with over 1,000 DVDs and an outdoor projector for movies under the stars
Books, puzzles, and board games for screen-free fun

The cabin comfortably accommodates 2 adults and 2 smaller children indoors.
Guests may also camp outside for a total of up to 6 guests. Additional guests are not negotiable.

    Additional Add-Ons
Creekside Glamping Tent in a separate space with a full-size air mattress and single cot (bedding not included), close to the main cabin and sitting area, but in seperate private area. Additional time notice needed for setup outside of the summer months. Extra $25 per night.

Cozy Quarters Van in a separate area with a queen bed, a large private deck, and a seating area, also close but in seperate private location. Extra $45 per night.

    Amenities & Comforts
Two outhouses with ha and-washing sink
Outdoor hot shower (a guest favorite)

Choice of Weber, Traeger, or gas grill
Mr. Coffee maker with filters and sugar provided

Firepit area and multiple shaded seating spots

Enjoy rustic comfort surrounded by fresh mountain air and local wildlife.

    Outdoor Features
Explore the property’s natural beauty across 5 acres:

Treehouse platform for morning coffee or stargazing
    80-foot zipline swing
    Swings, hammocks, and outdoor games

Private trails winding through an additional 2.5 acres of forest regrowth from the 2015 Butte Fire

This is a unique opportunity to experience nature’s renewal up close.

    What’s Nearby
On your way in, stop at Sender’s Market in Mountain Ranch, a local favorite offering:
    Local Calaveras County wines
    Ribeye steaks at great prices
    Fresh deli sandwiches
    Groceries, hardware, and souvenirs

Also nearby in Mokelumne Hill and Mountain Ranch:
Local bars with pool and food
Wineries, cider houses, and sports bars
Farmers’ markets and weekend events during the summer

New Hogan Lake in Valley Springs is our favorite day trip place with endless spots to play in the water, go on a hiking trail around the lake, dog and kid friendly, and nearby restrooms and picnic tables.

Or Mokelumne Rivers on Electra Rd toward Jackson, to just sit and hang out on the river. Not recommended for pets and kids as much due to the rushing river waters.

    Local event information:
Visit www GoCalaveras . com under the Things To Do tab for places like Murphy's, Jamestown, San Andreas, Lake New Hogan, Lake Comanche and Mokelumne River.

Visit www visitamador . com Things To Do for visiting Jackson, Sutter Creek, Kennedy Gold Mine, and Preston Castle, along with numerous lakes.

    Pet Policy
Dogs of all sizes are welcome. Please bring pet bedding or use the provided dog bed.
We kindly ask that guests clean up after pets and keep them close when outdoors.
And if you have a dog that sheds or with white hair, please don't let them sleep on the bed with the black duvet cover. For some reason, white dog hair is very difficult to clean up after; just be aware of the impact after you leave.

    Our Promise
