Overall, the room was clean. Minus a dirty face towel that was left hanging over the shower curtain. However, I can look past that. The bed was by far the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. I got the best sleep of my life. It also helped that the hotel was quiet. Everything was great! I'd definitely stay there again, for sure!

Besides the bathroom door didn’t lock, & we booked a king size bed/suite only to find out after we checked in that it wasn’t available. Due to someone not checking out in time. So we had to get a queen size bed/suite. Other than that the hotel was clean, & friendly staff. Many food restaurants & stores are close by. :)

I was parking my car a man backed a work truck across sidewalk right in front of me. He reaked of weed. There were alot of men hanging around the back of the building. I did not feel safe at all. I had someone come stay with me so I would not be alone. The snack bar was pathetic to say the least. I had to be moved from original room because a/c did not work properly. TV did not work either. I was very disappointed. I always thought it looked nice enough from street. Staff was nice.

I have stayed here several times and love the location. However, the last time their system was down and the wifi didnt work.I usually look over technical issue beyond their control. They made us write down our card number to charge the room when the system was back up. Fast forward my debit card was used in several location around the hotel after I left. I called my bank to cancel my card WHILE I'M OUT OF TOWN IN TEXAS. That's right I'm stranded with no debit card because you employ thieves. Mind you the room was not charged still. I checked out Sunday on Christmas and they went on a shopping spree on Wednesday. I tried to call the hotel to report and their phones are were down. I only used this card for that room. I function on cash the whole Christmas break except for that room. A police report has been filed. I am LIVID.

Pulling up to property we noticed mold on outside of the building coming from AC units, but thought maybe it was cleaner inside. It was not. While the check in process was speedy and the desk clerk was friendly, that was the only good thing. There was dog hair all over, in the hallway as well as all over the room floor, curtains, etc. Took my shoes off and my socks were covered in pet hair. It may be my bad for not checking pet policy, but I have allergies and it was horrible the smell and hair all over. Worse than the dog hair was the stench of dog pee in the room. There were several dusty surfaces as if most of the room (barhroom sink, dresser drawers, tv area) was not cleaned, appearing as if only sheets and towels were changed between guests. It is a suite so there was a stove top that had burned food caked in the burners. There were dogs barking all night long and it smelled like there were marijuana plants growing in the room next to us the smell of smoke was so strong. There was a ring of grim in the bathtub, again, as if the rooms are not actually cleaned. Worst part was when I went to pull the shower curtain back and a dried, crusty, used wash cloth fell from the rod. At that moment we canceled our stay to relocate to another MUCH nicer hotel in the area. we chose a hotel in Flowood assuming it had to be nicer than Jackson proper, this was not the case. I wont stay at another Candelwood and this may be the end of all IHG hotels for me.
