Great stay

Beautiful property and great location on the lake. Easy drive (some Norris properties are treacherous to get to!) - and easy proximity to grocery, stores, marinas. Already planning to book again next summer! Lots of space for togetherness and space to spread out as well. We have been coming to Norris every summer for 12 years - easily my favorite property to stay. Hosts were wonderful and accomodating. 10/10!

Wonderful place! Pictures don’t do it justice. huge rooms and right on the lake. We travelled in January and still enjoyed the beautiful property!

Family vacation

We held a family vacation at this property and it was perfect- everything was exactly as described and couldn’t ask for a nicer place to host a family get together. Make sure to bring extra paper products like they mention and some extra towels for the kitchen but otherwise 6 out of 5 stars - thank you!

Family Lake Adventure

This is an amazing property. Wonderful views of the lake. We loved that each bedroom had a private bath. Lots of room for our family. Has about everything you need to prepare meals in house. Great Boat dock with floats, kayak and lily pad. The adults and kids enjoyed swimming off the dock. The owners are very responsive and very helpful. You will love this place

Awesome property

The views from the house are absolutely stunning. The house itself is incredible - beautiful and extremely well laid out. Everything you might need is provided. The only negative is the narrow, windy road to get to the house (quite dicey if you meet someone going the other way), but it is the price you have to pay for the wonderful views you get once you arrive. Highly recommend this place!

Jonathan is very good on communication. The house is very m, very nice. The only issue we had is arriving at night, and in the rain. Navigating the driveway is not for the timid. Especially in the rain and at night.

Perfect Place For Us

We had 4 couples, longtime friends coming from 3 different parts of the country. This place was absolutely perfect for us. Well stocked kitchen and supplies. Clean, beautiful grounds and the lake view was excellent. Great place to relax and reconnect. All 4 couples agreed that this was a great place. Communication with Jonathan was very good. We have stayed at many VRBOs and this is one of the best.

annual family get-away

Property floor plan and lot layout are outstanding. Parking could not have been better. These mountain lots are often small, but we had no issue with 2 full size pickups and 2 SUV s. Fourteen in my group and ample personal and group space in the home. Very important for every one getting along. Boat-dock was dreamy and really helped make entire stay worth the cost ( not cheap).

Amazing

We went with a group of adult friends, couples. Every couple had their own master bedroom and bathroom. Absolutely beautiful property and everything is top of the line. The dock is awesome whether you have a boat or not. It easily accommodated my 28’ boat. We are already planning our next trip to Norris and won’t be staying anywhere but here!

Plenty of space

The house had plenty of space for our extended family. The 4 King bedrooms and bunk room worked out great! The house was clean. We enjoyed having plenty of outdoor seating on the deck and appreciated being able to use the lilly pad and nice dock chairs. There is a boat launch .3 miles away and Mountain Lake marina is right across the lake. We will be back!

Perfect For Our Family

Looking for the perfect layout? Look no further! The four king suites along with the bunk room were completely perfect for our family of 9. So much common space for family to gather inside and out and then private quarters for everyone - we could not have asked for anything more. Well stocked kitchen, comfy beds, and beautiful views made our stay exactly what we were looking for. Our family left talking about returning for our Christmas family time tradition. Can’t imagine anyone being disappointed in booking a stay here. Great accommodations and great communication.

Our host was a fast and great communicator. We had a couple of things to contact them about and responses came within minutes. There was a fully equipped, large kitchen, which we utilized for meals, as well as a nice grill out on the deck. The bedrooms were spacious, very comfortable, with a private full bathroom for each. We also enjoyed a multitude of boxed games to play around the large dining table. The lake view was incredibly beautiful. I spent a significant amount of time just sitting and reading, while enjoying the wonderful view. The road to the house is very lightly traveled for anyone wanting to get a nice walk in. This house has everything that a family would need for a relaxing vacation. This will be a #1 choice for future family vacations.

Beautiful lakefront home

Our family very much enjoyed our stay at this beautiful house on Norris Lake! The house is newer with upscale finishes and furniture. It was more than enough room for our family of 6 adults and 2 children. There aren't many houses at Norris Lake with easy access to the lake. While it is an uphill walk to the house, it is manageable, and my grandsons liked fishing off the dock and even caught a few small fish there.

Hiwassee Holiday was perfect for our family vacation. We had 14 people across three generations, and the five-bedroom, five-bath home provided plenty of space while still allowing us to enjoy time together.The location is outstanding. We spent our days fishing, tubing, swimming, water skiing, and cliff jumping, creating memories that will last a lifetime. It was especially rewarding to watch the grandchildren bond and to have a week focused on family time. The house is very close to the boat launch and a marina.Evenings were filled with campfires, family meals, skits, songs, and laughter. The house was clean, well-equipped, and exactly as advertised. The beds were very comfortable, and the hosts communicated well and made everything easy.Future guests should know the property is fairly remote, about 15–20 minutes from town. The road can be a bit challenging in spots, especially when towing a boat, but it is manageable if you drive carefully. Walmart delivery to the house was a huge convenience for our large group.The walk to the dock may be difficult for anyone with significant mobility issues, though our three-year-old grandson handled it just fine.We’ve stayed at many vacation rentals over the years, and Hiwassee Holiday ranks among the best. If you’re looking for a beautiful place for a large family gathering on Norris Lake, I highly recommend it. We hope to return next year.

Loving the Lake

We had a wonderful week. The house is everything you want in a lake house and more. We had more than enough room for 3 families from 70 to 6 years old. The rooms were spacious and each bedroom having an attached bathroom is a game changer. The kitchen is well stocked, there’s ample room to park several vehicles, the natural gas grill worked great, the beds are comfortable, the decks have multiple seating areas, and the dock is easily accessible. Minimal steps to the dock! There were several chairs on the dock, a kayak, and the grandchildren loved the lily pad. Also, the ladder into the water from the dock was very sturdy and easy to go in and out of the water. The marina was very convenient. We parked our cars and didn’t move them until we packed up to leave. Everything about our week was perfect. We all look forward to staying here again!

This house is beautiful, clean, and has an awesome view of the lake! 4 of the 5 bedrooms have sliding glass doors with a deck and view as well as king size beds, so it makes it perfect for several couples. The 5th bedroom has bunks and it's own bath. The two refrigerators help if you are cooking/preparing food at the house to save a little . The hosts are super quick to respond to questions. The walk to the water was 34 steps (my husband counted) and then a sloped driveway, but there is a fire pit area to rest about halfway up for the "out of shape" crew. Water was 9 ft below pool when we visited, so it is probably better when lake is up.
