"We had an amazing stay at Bluebird Lake Placid! Most amazing was the location: we had an easy walk to water skiing on Lake Placid, restaurants and shops in town, and swimming on Mirror Lake. The room was clean, comfortable, and adorable too. The AC worked great. Bathroom was great. Our view was of the side parking lot, but that is okay; we were only there to sleep and shower. Areas for improvement: 1. The beds were too soft and sagged in the middle; my back does better with a firm mattress. Mattresses may need to be changed out more often. 2. Having some sources of protein at breakfast would be great. For example, boiled eggs are easy to have on hand. Having some items made with whole grains (instead of all the white and overly sweetened items) would also be appreciated. 3. Having a few more hooks to hang wet clothes and towels would be great. Overall, a great stay! "

"We stayed at the Crowne Plaza Lake Placid with our dog. We had a room on the first floor with a sliding glass door that opened onto the expansive lawn at the front of the hotel, with a small patio with a couple of chairs and a table. The view of the mountains and over the town is spectacular. It was a perfect room for traveling with a dog, as our dog could go right outside to pee without us having to trek all the way through the building. We were able to feed him and give him water out there as well. There were other families with dogs in these types of rooms. So if you are traveling with a dog, try to get a balcony room and ask to be on the first floor. It is convenient and the view is fantastic. "

"We enjoyed our stay at the Lake Placid Boutique Inn. The hotel was in walking distance of the Main Street attractions and shops and across the street from the public beach. My kids were particularly happy with the afternoon cookies that were out in the lobby. The room was clean and modern. The ac was in the corner so air circulation wasn’t the best but not bad since we had a fan. We would stay here again. "

"Wonderful 3 day stay for a baseball tournament. Nice, new hotel with pool and lake access. Free use of paddle boards, kayaks and paddle boats. Great free coffee available all day. Close walking distance into town and a grocery store."

"It was roughly 15 years ago we stayed at High Peaks Resort with the kids when they were about 5 years old and we brought them back this year for a new perspective. The first time around we stayed at a room in the Main Resort, this time around we stayed at a room in the Waterfront Collection. Excellent room with obvious wonderful views. We stayed just off the pool area Waterfront Collection rooms so that we had an open view of Mirror Lake morning, noon, and night. Open your door and you are 10 yards from the water. From 8 a.m. - 7 p.m. there will be guests right outside your room relaxing in chairs and using the various water craft (paddleboards, kayaks, pedal boats, etc.). It reminded us somewhat of a beach so we did not mind the relative lack of privacy just outside the room. We stayed early week in July for three nights. The room itself was very clean with the large bathroom being the highlight, wonderful spacious shower with overhead shower head. Several channels on the TV but no movie channels and satellite picture not that great in the mountainous area. Fabulous location. High Peaks rests on the edge of Main Street with "walkabiltiy" perhaps he best overlooked feature: walk to Main Street for shopping and restaurants or go in the opposite direction for a nice evening walk along Mirror Lake drive. There is even a short mountain trail (Cobble Hill Trail, 0.8 mi) just off of Mirror Lake Drive that my daughter and I hiked one early morning. Beautiful view at the top. "

"Thisbplace was phenomenal. I went to hike the High Peaks and treated myself to a bed instead of camping. I loved it. The living room area cozy and looks like cabin Like basicallyba studio apartment with a living room, kitchen, bedroom and bath. The host super reaponsive. Its next to restaurants. You can walk to Olympic Center and 15 minutes from ADK Loj if you are hiking. Only thing is pool not working but all else great My niece would love this place. Oh and soft beds and great towels! "
