"Hotel is old but beautiful. Comfortable and great for the price. Second time I stay there and the indoor pool still out of order but it's beautiful and crystal clear. My room was by the pool and it made a beautiful view at least. Maybe next time it will be up and running. Santos the clerk is beautiful and amazing as well. Very helpful and polite. The breakfast is awesome. They give vouchers so you can eat whatever you want at The Duck restaurant inside the hotel. This ain't no powder eggs and cereal at the conga line, it's actual food prepared for you."

"Fairly new hotel on the north side of Carlsbad. Rooms clean and comfortable, hot and cold breakfast items. Everything works, would definitely stay here again. However, if you want to be close to the Caverns, this is a little farther away."

"We had a great stay at the holiday inn Carlsbad. We were met right away with very friendly staff and a well kept lobby. Our room was clean and set up like you’d expect. We used the pool and hot tub and I was happy it was heated and clean."

"Two staff members were great. the young lady that checked me in (I didn't get her name) and the night clerk, Jeremy. There was not any soap, coffee, or tea in the room. Nor were there any cups. the TV didn't work at all and the wi-fi was very spotty. The middle aged gentleman who checked me out said we would be getting a discount for our inconvenience however our card was charged the full amount. This is the first time I've had a problem while staying here. In the past, I have had excellent service."
