Decent budget hotel. We were in an economy room which was very small (not enough room to put 2 suitcases). Also the shower in our room leaked all over the floor of the main room. Location was good in that it was close to lots of restaurants, nightlife, etc. however it was difficult for taxis, tour buses, etc. to access. Breakfast was overpriced for what you got. Our room was on the top floor, which was not accessible by elevator, so we had to carry our luggage up a flight of stairs. The rooms were clean, however the public washrooms in the lobby were not kept very clean.

Good hotel, nice staff. Location is not for all.
Staff was very nice, helpful and friendly. Hotel location is very good in terms of proximity to the city centre, restaurants, seaside, etc. You can enjoy yourself in walking distance for most of the time. But it is also very noisy especially during nights and early morning until 2-3 am. Random people will shout, argue and talk loudly most of the night and sound isolation was not very good. On Sunday mornings there's a bazaar right in front of the hotel where sellers start preparing stalls, etc starting from 4-5 am. So most of the time we could not get good night sleep. Room cleanliness was ok, but could have been better. Some amenities were missing. Couldn't find pillow case even after we had asked for it. Breakfast was good, but nothing special.

Great restaurant and cafe area.
First time in Turkey and arrived at 1:30am., and was greeted by hotel staff and was heading to the room very quickly. Amazing as we spoke no Turkish and the clerk spoke a little English and everything worked well. Great stay as the neighbourhood was confusing at 1:30am., on a Saturday evening. Trying to get assistance at times over a 5 day stay was a challenge but one needs to consult guide books and use the Internet, Construction of new sidewalks is underway so some night noise getting rid of debris and will look great in another year.

When we came we were asked for payment although we already paid online. Nobody helped to bring our bag to the room, nobody gave us water and water in the room is not free. We asked for iron, huge hotel doesn’t have iron!

The room was poorly designed. A door that opened inwards into the bathroom. Cooking hob but few utensils. Large room but small table and chairs, lot of empty space for nothing. King size bed was comfortable. Construction work going on outside starting at 6am, even on weekends. Friendly staff. Heating on all the time and had to turn it all off. Large TV on wall enclosed so no place to use USB. TV on all the time so waste of electricity. Underfloor heating on all the time but staff said there was none!! close to the seashore and lots of shops and restaurants. Not a place I would go back to.

Okay for a one night stay
Very friendly and helpful staff. Good value for money. However, due to COVID they are not able to run the centralised heating/air conditioning making it very cold everywhere. There is a radiator in the room but it takes a very long time for it to heat up and because the walls are quite thin. Also, next door they are undergoing heavy construction (a new building from the ground up). It was quite noisy at times because of this. Additionally, I booked the "deluxe suite" based on the photo with the table chairs and sofa. However, when I arrived I was told that was not available... Maybe the caption should be updated to make it clear which room that is.

Another great stay - recommend.
Another great stay at this hotel apartment. Clean, comfortable rooms with cooking facilities. Stayed several times here and would recommend. Safety COVID19 regulations in place and adhered too. Close to centre of town with access to shopping, restaurants, bars and pleasant walks near the sea.

The photo showing of the economy room is only a photo of the bathroom. There is no hose attachment for the shower. And there is no kitchen as is shown by photographs of all the other rooms. I felt deceived as I expected a kitchen in the room. The only room picture is of other rooms not of the economy room. Then they had pictures of different bathrooms as well got the economy room only had a picture of a bathroom so the Assumption was that have a kitchen as the other photos

- there were minor renovation works done during the stay daytime, so there was a bit disturbing - there was bad smell at around 11:00pm every night after switching off the air-conditioner - although I stayed at a room with kitchenware, there was no washing machine, so it is really not completely apartment service, I need to pay but they only offer dry-clean service, not laundry

Repeat return guest. Always excellent service at Alsancak apart. Central location near shops, restaurants and bars. 10 mins from metro station. Reception will organise transport from airport - apart (if arranged prior to arrival) 24 hr reception, card key door security. Will 100% return again.

Don't stay even though its central!
Dirty rooms. Floor is very dirty and dusty. Although I booked an executive suit room, I was given a single bedroom with an extremely small kitchen in it! Service sucks, no daily cleaning unless you request is specially. Breakfast is very basic. They have only coffee powder! Location is central, but at night it's quite creepy and dark behind some dirty construction area. My worst experience ever. I spend 120 days a year in hotels and this one doesnt even deserve a 2 star!

we blame you to writing such comments. Cleaning quality is extremely important for us. Our rooms check two times after cleaning. When we entered the room for housekeeping cleaning on the 2nd day with the cleaners, we saw that you had stepped on your bed with shoes and spread the used toilet papers around.You don't look like stay 120 times in hotels a year, obviously you don't have very frequent hotel experience and you don't know how to use hotel room, remember that; cleaning comes from faith.

The hotel is really beautiful and somewhat fancy for its price. Although my requests were not fulfilled by the hotel, our staying, me and my girlfriend, was really good. The breakfast was good and the service was decent. The area has some worth seeing places, yet the tramway and metro station are not that far, which gives opportunities to visit other places.

It is a nice studio where you can cook fast food. Near many cafes, shops and supermarkets. Lovely fruits and Vegas bad at every Saturday just next to it. Close to tram and train station. They do not clean the room every day. If I had to go to Izmir again I would stay there again

This hotel really exceeded our expectations. The price was extremely fair for the amenities we had and the location, which is in a very vibrant but safe neighborhood. The staff were very helpful and kind, especially the older gentleman who works the night shift. The room was very comfortable except the bed sheets were a little scratchy. The room had a small kitchen, a fridge and a very nice shower (despite having a semi transparent bathroom which didn't bother anyone who stayed here). Would recommend this place to any young traveler!

Great Value
Great hotel for purpose. Set within the narrow streets of the old part of Alcancak this hotel was ideal for early morning Consulate appointment. Parking is a the rear of the hotel and staff were happy to assist on our arrival. Reception was welcoming ans staff approachable. Room clean, tidy and full of necessary amenities. Bedding clean and laundered and copious hot water for shower. Walkable distance to port area, coffee shops and eateries. Friendly staff on arrival and departure. We will use again in the future for a vacation rather than a business trip.

Our stay was fab. We came and went over a period of a week and the manager called when he was concerned we had not returned. It was appreciated that he cared what happened to his guests! Rifat was a star and we will def go back!

Pretty much as described. I will recommend it as the location is very convenient for exploring Izmir, and it is in a safer neighbourhood than Basmane.
