Walked in at 4. The owner had mechanical equipment all over, everything was filthy( took pictures to prove ), garbages filled, beds not cleaned, dirt in sinks, showers, toilets, airconditioner broken, over 80 upstairs, neither tv worked, freezer not only filled with food, but filthy. Called owner, he came quickly but used the excuse he mixed up our check in date. However listing said 3 days in between for covid and high.y cleaned. He thought picking up and vacuuming was good. He was not happy I wanted clean sheets, refused to give an extra roll of toilet paper, no soap ,quickly wiped sink but literally no other cleaning.the next day we usedallthefans he left around and then wanted tv to work.everything was a discussion about his divorce and sad life. While I want to have empathy, we drove 2 cars to enjoy our yearly end of summer trip with our grandkids and paid a lot of $ to have the pleasure of all staying together to have a great time. Vrbo line was busy constantly and a t 1am I was so upset and couldn’t sleep. I got through to someone.Finally found another # to report this listing. I still feel we should get either & back( certainly for cleaning) or a future credit or our $ back. Don’t book. The owner is wifty, the place a dirty mess. Lucky for us the weather was great so except for sleeping we were never inside the house.
I’m thinking 2 hotel rooms would have cost less and been clean.
