Honeymoon stay
The property was comfortable, clean and the perfect size for the two of us. It was warm and the fireplace was fantastic. The views were incredible and the wildlife was varied and plentiful. We especially liked the small ruins behind the property. It was perfect for our stay.

A wonderful stay at Kettle Cottage.
Kettle Cottage was just perfect for our holiday, cosy, comfortable and a beautiful location, plus it was pet friendly. Also, a lovely welcome pack on our arrival, a nice touch. I booked this cottage at short notice, nothing was too much trouble for Anne the host, fantastic welcome basket, exceptionally clean and super cosy. I would definitely recommend this little gem to stay at , even in the winter months.

We were delighted with the peace and quiet offered by Kettle Cottage. The accommodation was very comfortable and well equipped and warm. Beautiful atmospheric views over to St Kilda; wonderful isolated setting amidst rolling grassland; abundant bird life, including sea eagle, lapwings and geese. Amazing starry skies with no light pollution.

Perfect stay for a relaxing break.
The cottage was exactly what we were hoping/looking for! It was well equipped, immaculate and cosy. It is set in a spectacular setting, with an enclosed garden, perfect for our wee dog. Anne was great at communicating with us and we would highly recommend this property.

Fabulous cottage in stunning remote location

We absolutely loved this cottage, the surrounding area and island. Has everything you need, spotlessly clean, secure garden for the dogs and in the middle of nowhere with stunning views, saw a pod of Minkie whale off the shoreline while we stayed. Would definitely return there to stay.

Peace and beauty
This is a beautiful wee cottage perfect for the two of us. It was clean and welcoming - important in these covid times. The location is very private and peaceful with beautiful views of the sea on two sides. Anne could not have been more helpful and friendly. We loved it all so much and have booked for next year.

Perfect dog friendly cottage
This cottage was so perfect in every way. We stayed the last week in April with our two dogs, the location was excellent, very remote and peaceful with stunning views. The cottage was spotless and warm and welcoming with everything you could possibly want. The garden was very secure, perfect for dogs. Lovely beaches just a short walk away, the local pub just a 10 minute drive away. We loved North Uist and this beautiful cottage made it an extra special holiday for us, we will definitely return.

Perfect Cottage
Fantastic, secluded location with access to coast that's alive with birdlife, otters and Atlantic dramas. A great base for walking without getting in the car or as a base for exploring further afield - or just a wee cycle to the beach(es) or the lovely Dunes Cabin for a scallop and bacon roll. Cottage itself cosy, pristine, comfortable and generously equipped. The best!

Superb cottage.
Lovely, beautifully situated cottage. Very clean and fully equipped with all you would need. Quite compact. We were very fortunate with the weather so didn’t use the stove, but the cottage was warm despite some very cold winds outside (you are exposed on a promontory). Large garden area was secure for our two small dogs. Well positioned for exploring North Uist and beyond.

FABULOUS COTTAGE WITH A PERFECT LOCATION
OUR FIRST STAY ON UIST'S AND WE WERE SO LUCKY TO STAY AT A BEAUTIFUL COTTAGE STANDING ON ITS OWN DOWN A TRACK. OUTSTANDING. DIDN'T WANT TO LEAVE. THE COTTAGE IS SO WELL CARED AND CATERED FOR BY ANNE. IMMACULATE. ANNE IS VERY HELPFUL AND AT HAND IF ANY PROBLEMS. OUR DOGS LOVED THE HOLIDAY AND FELT AT HOME WITH ALL THE SPACE AROUND THE COTTAGE. THE WALKS ON THE HEADLAND ARE GREAT SO YOU DON'T HAVE TO GO FAR TO HAVE WONDERFUL VIEWS. WE HOPE TO RETURN. THANK YOU FOR A LOVELY HOLIDAY.

This cottage is fabulous. Just perfect with all you need for a holiday. Spotlessly clean and in a fabulous location beside the shore and looking towards At Kilda. Just ideal for exploring all the Uists. Definitely a must rental property.

Perfect Hebridean Experience
Such a lovely place. Hard to find words that aren't cliches to describe it! Sturdy little cottage with beautifully modernised interior. Cosy, warm & so excellently situated you don't really need to go anywhere once you've arrived! Totally lived up to my expectations.

Stunning location - A perfect hideaway
Lovely, well appointed and maintained traditional Cottage/Croft modernised to a very high and comfortable standard. Accommodation consists of a comfortable sized lounge/diner, a large showers room with walk-in electric shower, toilet and pedestal sink. The single bedroom is huge with more than ample storage for all that two occupants would need or want to bring, centrepiece being a comfortable Kingsize Bed. The Kitchen diner is very well appointed and has all the appliances and cutlery one could ever need even down to a Pizza slicer. A comfortable two seater sofa, dining/breakfast table for two and a large flat screen TV with all the usual Freeview channels. The free WiFi is more than adequate for all your internet searching. The cottage is accessed via a 500m long driveway through a crofting field and set on top a headland with uninterrupted views (on a clear day) to Haskeir Island and St Kilda beyond. No matter what one’s interest this cottage is a perfect place to base yourself when visiting the beautiful Uists. Anne, the owner also owns the nearby Camp Site which has an excellent food trailer called The Dunes Cabin (seasonal) selling a good selection of hot and cold food (Savoury & Sweet) and drinks.

Lovely relaxing stay at Kettle Cottage
Lovely little cottage set in an ideal tranquil location Tigharry, North Uist. If you are looking to get away for a relaxing break then this is the place to stay! Anne (the property owner) is very accommodating & friendly & you can meet her at the Dunes Cabin on the Balranald campsite around a mile away from the cottage. It's so peaceful at the cottage with the remoteness of North Uist & it's drive being around 0.4 mile long! The nearest neighbours are the cows! Plenty of beautiful beaches nearby & gorgeous walks. The cottage is perfect for two people and is very modern with all facilities equipped!

Probably one of the most remote places we've stayed yet, not visible from the road and at the end of a long unmade track. Really my dream home - ideal combination of a beautiful character cottage with a bit of history and views, but modern, practical and comfortable inside. Anne was very helpful when our travel plans were disrupted.
