"We had wonderful stay in The Island Bear B&B. The room was indulging and clean. Nice modern shower and freestanding tub. The breakfast was delicious. The owner was waiting for us when we arrived late night on the last ferry. She went above and beyond to make sure we can have a breakfast before we leave on the first ferry at 7 am. I wish we could stay more."

"Great cottage in a fantastic location. Owners have made much effort to making it homely. Cleanliness could’ve been better and the numerous messages to do / don’t made my feel apprehensive about switching stuff on / off. There should’ve been something confirming the water source coming from a private supply so that guests can make an informed choice about drinking from the tap or buying bottled. 9 o’clock checkout suited us but seems a bit early compared to other rental places."

"What an outstandingly beautiful grand old manor house and grounds. The description of the hotel doesn’t do it justice. There are renos coming to the exterior but overall the room was clean and stocked with everything any guest could need. We stayed in the Margadale which was grandly spacious with a beautiful view of the front lawn and the sea. Deep tub was amazing for a soak. No restaurant on site for dinner but we made use of the bar in the evening. Cozy atmosphere, perfect for intimate conversations or a get to know you with other guests from abroad. The reception staff was so gracious and lovely. Unfortunately we had an early ferry booked and couldn’t take in the breakfast. Other guests assured us it was fantastic. Highly recommended for any trip to Islay. We will be back!"

"The bungalow was perfect for our family's stay in Bruichladdich. It was clean and modern and the views across the bay are beautiful. The mini market just a couple of doors down is perfect for coffee and breakfast sandwiches in the morning. Claire was a great host, very responsive to questions and check-in and check-out were very easy."
