This log cabin is so perfect!! The house is extremely clean and the hosts are so responsive. We stayed during Christmas to New Years here and it crossed off every box. The beds are comfortable, bathrooms are so clean and plenty of room. The washer and dryer units in the house helped keep up with laundry since we did so many activities. The location was so quiet and great for morning and afternoon walks. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.
The Island Pines cabin was amazing and wonderful. The space and accommodations were perfect for us, our children and grandchildren. We hope to make this an annual event. Thank you.
This is a great place to stay! We would do it again. The lodge is grand and spacious. Very clean. The covered deck/outside sitting area is huge. Great sleeping arrangement for families with children. Communication and check-in with the owners was really good and easy; they checked on us to be sure everything was going well and asked if we needed anything. We couldn't ask for a better experience.
Our extended family of 18 whom several were visiting as far as Thailand and Australia loved this home. We ended up renting this house and another one on Bill's Island since our group was so large but we spent most of the time at this house. The front porch and the great room/kitchen area were awesome and perfect for everyone to spend some quality time together. House was clean and well equipped and the communication with the Owners was great. The only drawback, but it is minor, is that it would have been nice to have more dressers/closets to unpack our clothes (especially since we were there for 2 weeks). Loved the area - so beautiful and really enjoyed that Yellowstone was a short 20-30 min. drive.
The house is BEATIFUL and very well made. The space very comfortably accommodated our mixed age group of 15. The basement is an excellent space with activities and toys for all ages. The kitchen is well appointed. The location is convenient to Yellowstone. The owners provided a great list of ideas/activities that proved to be terrific. We had an absolutely wonderful time and are thankful for the beautiful spaces the house provided.
We’d be remiss if we didn’t point out a few disappointments… Access to the house within the gated community was a frustration… only 2 gate passes are provided - not enough to accommodate 15 people. Tho the owners were willing to buzz cars in, having only 2 passes required constant coordination and/or inconvenience for having to shuttle down to gate to let others in. Also important for some would be to acknowledge that there is no Master bedroom offered and no bedroom on the main floor - challenging for mobility limited people.
Access roads on the island and to the property are dirt giving us the experience of both heavy dust and mud during our stay. Finally, we’ve been spoiled by owners that go out of their way to provide conveniences that we were disappointed weren’t offered, especially at this price point… limited supply of TP and paper towels (only 2 rolls per bathroom for a one week stay with 15 people?), no shampoo or soap… the little things.
All in all, a wonderful place and experience. Minor tweaks and it’d be perfect.
Beautiful cabin, very clean and very spacious. Lots of clean towels. My only con is there wasn’t enough coffee mugs for all the adults to have coffee. So no big deal! Would stay here again
The house was clean and well equipped. The faucets in all bathrooms and kitchen were new and worked well. New linen and towels. I appreciated the simple requirements for exit day. This is a standout property exceptionally clean and modern.
As advertised. Great home, lots of room, and a great deck to grill and hang out. Not too far from the entrance to Yellowstone, perfect home base for all our adventures. No issues and any questions were answered promptly by the host. Super quiet for sleeping and saw a moose and calf out the kitchen window. All the games were a great bonus.
The house and property were better than the pictures. It really felt like home, warm and comfortable. The entire process was easy. My family had a great time.
Loved our stay at this property. The communication and response to any of our questions was quick.
Just few things to note:
1) the patio wasn’t cleaned
2) garage wasn’t available to use
3) master bedroom wasn’t available to use.
We had a fabulous time. Perfect setting for a family of 8 adults and 7 kids, ages 5-14. Easy drive to the West entrance of Yellowstone and we visited the park 3 times during the week we were there. The house had everything we needed to fix our meals. It was a great getaway from our hectic lives at home!
We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. The kids had a blast and the adults got the relaxation they needed as well. Everything was beautiful and perfect. The hard part was leaving. Every day since we’ve been home, my son has asked me when we can rent Clayton and Tricia’s cabin again.
The home was very clean and well supplied with everything we needed. Very spacious and even more beautiful than the wonderful photos in the listing. Other than the initial check-in we didn't need to communicate with the owners because everything was as described and working perfectly. We would happily stay at this home again if we came back to the Yellowstone area.
The cabin is clean, beautiful and we’ll stocked. Beds are very comfortable. The location is excellent, close to the lake and about a 15-20 minute drive from Mack’s Inn and the store. 40 minutes to West Yellowstone. We had a couple of issues which were addressed immediately and adequately. Clayton and Trish couldn’t be nicer or more responsive. Perfect for our family if 8!
The property is beautiful and clean. We had a small problem in a shower and the owner was responsive (although the plumber was not). This was the most well-stocked VRBO I've ever used. Thoughtful things included spices, grill, high chair, games and DVDs. One morning, we had two moose in the front "yard," munching on breakfast. So fun. The WIFI was down most of the time we were there, but the worst thing was I lost a very low Wordle streak. We didn't ever find a place on the island to play at the lake, but there are so many things to do in the area we never felt bored.

Perfect Getaway!
My husband and I recently spent 12 days at this beautiful home. It is very charming and comfortable and is beautifully decorated. The sofas in the living room and in the basement are extremely comfortable with built in recliners and footrests!
Wonderful gas fireplace, A/C, ceiling fans, BBQ pit with propane, etc., etc.
This is a new home (2018) and exceptionally clean. There are plenty of books to read and some games to play, a huge wrap around porch with comfortable furniture. And QUIET! So peaceful. We walked the loop several days and really enjoyed the cool climate having come from the Houston area!
We did have a minor issue when we checked in but we called Clayton and Tricia and within 30 minutes, the issue was being solved. They could not have been nicer handling everything.
A truly relaxing vacation which is what we were seeking. Highly recommend this property!

This property is amazing and in a great location for all the area has to offer from visiting the parks to fishing, hiking and site seeing. Check in and out was very easy and this property is stocked better than any other VRBO or condos we have stayed at. We had everything we could possibly need for a home away from home stay. We all enjoyed our stay.
We spent a week with our family at Island Pines. It is a beautiful home surrounded by tall trees. We saw a buck walking in the woods behind the house one morning.
We had room for everyone and loved the game room, large porch and big dining table to be able to spend time together. Our vacation focus was Yellowstone, so we did not take part in the activities in the immediate area. It usually took about 40 minutes to get into Yellowstone. We were probably there at the warmest time of year… and the upstairs was a little warm for some of our family at night… I personally did not feel uncomfortable with open windows and a fan. The basement was quite cool and the system did distribute air to the main floor well (as described). I think i didn’t have a good feel that the house was technically 3 stories when I initially read about it and so the cooling system it has does not include the top floor.
Tricia was quick to answer any questions. We enjoyed our stay! Would recommend !
