Good to Know
This is a true mountain cabin experience in Island Park — comfortable and welcoming, but not a luxury resort. The goal here is space for families and friends to gather while exploring Yellowstone and the surrounding outdoors.
Wildlife occasionally passes through the area, and winters bring real snow — which is part of the magic of staying here.

Nice but dated cabin. The neighborhood was a mix of small and large cabins . Management very kind and helpful but...Out of the "sleeps14", only 2 beds were above grade. Out of 3 bathrooms only 2 had showers and neither were on the first floor. Not a big deal unless you are old and have no knees. No shampoo or conditioner or detergent or extra blankets (unless my wife was mistaken)which, for the we spent, should have been provided. Star gazing was minimal around the fire pit because of the trees. I love trees. I love stargazing too, especially when that was said to be.I guess the moral of the story is that the listing was accurate and exactly as described but I feel should have more accurately represented the mechanics of the property.

Spacious Cabin with Potential, but a OutdatedThis was a spacious and comfortable cabin, but it felt dated and lacked some expected basics.Star-gazing was limited due to tree coverage, and nearby neighbors were often at their fire pit behind the porch, which reduced privacy. The cabin’s fire pit didn’t quite match the listing photos, and the porch was cluttered with branches and debris when we arrived. Not a major issue, but it was disappointing to have to clean up and gather firewood before enjoying it.The biggest surprise was the setting. The listing photos suggested a secluded getaway, but the cabin is in a neighborhood with homes very close by and no real view. That may be on us for not asking more, but the photos didn’t reflect the surroundings—especially for the cost.On the positive side, management was fantastic—very kind, helpful, and responsive. The kitchen was well-labeled, thoughtfully stocked, and easy to use. The location was also ideal for Yellowstone, making the drive simple and scenic. One last note: we didn’t mind signing a rental agreement, but more transparency about the large deposit and contract would’ve been appreciated earlier in the booking process.
