We would like to welcome you to the Lazy Bear Cabin.
First, I would like to address COVID-19 - please rest assured that we are doing everything in our power to protect YOU, our guests and ourselves. We are running an Ozone Machine upon the departure of our guests, we than go in ourselves and thoroughly clean, than upon our leaving we are running the Ozone Machine again to protect you from us!
Now on to this lovely cabin......
The cabin is centrally located on the golf course with easy access to Highway 20 and just a mere 25 minute drive to Yellowstone National Park.
Lazy Bear is a gem with a marvelous great room to gather with your family and friends while on vacation. Celebrate your time together with ample seating on the leather living room furniture, while others can still be socializing while cooking or dining. This fabulous cabin offers a master suite with queen bed and full bath, a private bedroom with a queen bed, and a bedroom with 1 queen bed and a queen/twin combination bunk bed for great slumber parties for the kids. Another full bath and full size laundry closet completes this super cabin. Sleeps 9 comfortably.
A barbecue grill and outdoor picnic table allows you to enjoy the mountain air while grilling a steak.
Benefit from free WIFI. Roku television with Netflix is available for your pleasure. Cell phones work well.
Lazy Bear provides all bedding and bath linens.
Whether your vacation plans include snowmobiling, atv riding, boating, fishing, hiking or sightseeing – Lazy Bear will be your perfect home away from home.
Lazy Bear is conveniently located just minutes from a local grocery store if you need last minute dinner supplies or enjoy the various restaurants in Island Park, all just minutes from this great cabin.
Lazy Bear is open year around. Enjoy some of the area’s best activities within minutes. Yellowstone National Park is 25 minutes away. Enjoy record breaking fishing in the Madison River or Henrys Fork of the Snake. Take in the majestic beauty of Mesa Falls or visit Johnny Sacks Cabin and Big Springs just a few minutes down Highway 20. There is a live dinner theater at Macks Inn Playhouse. Float trips, horseback riding, ziplines and golf are easily available. Take the time to hike at Harriman State Park and enjoy nature’s wonders. Snowmobile or ATV ride right from your door, there are miles of elaborate trail systems for pleasure.
There is parking for 2 to 3 vehicles. During the winter, the driveway is plowed. Should you need additional parking, there is a large public parking lot located in Island Park Village for the overflow.
Lazy Bear is a NON-SMOKING and a PET FREE cabin. We are under county ordinances for short term rentals and ask that our guests please stay in compliance for their safety and health; we ask that you stay within capacity limits, read the burn ordinance and please be neighborly!

This property was perfect for our family vacation, and truly within 30 minutes of YNP. We made sandwiches daily, and prepared crockpot dinners to save money. Their kitchen was extremely family oriented and with the grocery store just down the block, we were set! The home was comfortable in a safe, quiet neighborhood. Loved our stay!

A Great Place to Stay!

It was extremely clean and spacious. The kitchen had anything you could possibly need and the items were in great condition. There is a grocery store close by which was very convient, especially after a day of sightseeing. I would definately recomment this rental and will probably be staying here again.

Perfect Stay

Perfect location, size, and function for our family. Well-stocked kitchen and bathrooms, etc. Very clean. Beds were a little uncomfortable but not too bad. Very close to grocery and gas, and not a bad drive into West Yellowstone. Worth it for sure.

Great for Yellowstone

House was very clean which for me is a top must! It was 20-25 min from the west entrance. We were surprised at everything available to eat in close proximity as well. The house had a washer and dryer which made things much easier. They even had the ice cube trays filled for you. Even though we didn’t eat dinners there, they even had spices and a few other things if you would have needed them. Had ziplocks also which we brought but I still thought it was nice they had them if you forgot. They had plenty of towels for usage also. We went at the end of June so it was hot and there was no air, but we used fans and by 8:00 it was cooler outside so we opened windows to cool it off.

Yellowstone Family Vacation

30 min from Yellowstone entry gate. Beautiful safe "golf course" neighborhood with several high-end luxury properties around the corner. One level! Open kitchen and living room layout. Log construction was charming. Washer dryer is a must have for families. Propane BBQ! The foor and carpets were super clean! The comfy carpeting looked brand new. The bathrooms and kitchen are all original 1990's but super clean and everything worked fine. There were no hand shower attachments. ‐------------- Improvement Suggestions: Replace old key lockbox with new door code entry smart lock. Add hand shower attachments. The exit rules (launder towels, strip beds) are a bit much especially since guests pay for housekeeping service. Having to do a full load of all towels (wash & dry) delayed our exit. The required damage deposit credit card hold on top of the required guest purchase of damage insurance is a bit excessive. The black leather sofa was all used up and has no back support left.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The kitchen was great! They had spices, plastic wrap, and everything else you would need for cooking. There is a little general store very close by. Reasonable distance to Yellowstone. Not a single complaint.

The house is really nice. The hosts have it well stocked with kitchen items- there was everything we needed for all our food preparation. The beds were all really comfortable. The single queen was rather squeaky, so I recommend that the heaviest sleepers use that one. It was clean and comfortable though. The travel time to YNP was accurate, so we got to spend a lot of time in the park. We would happily stay again.
