Just a 35-40 minute drive north on Highway 20 will get you to the gates of Yellowstone National Park, or a few short minutes away is Henry's Fork, where you can enjoy fly fishing on the Snake River or Madison River. 20 minutes south on Highway 20 will bring you to beautiful Mesa Falls and Harriman State Park. Visit Big Springs and Johnny Sacks cabin, or take a drive up Sawtelle Mountain, where the views are endless. Guided float trips, horseback riding, and golf are all just minutes from the cabin. Hiking is second to none here, with trailheads in the nearby State Parks, along Targhee Creek, Coffeepot, and many other nearby locations. Or, stay home and relax in our brand new Bullfrog R7 series hot tub, offering mountainous views off our back patio! There's no limit to your adventure here!
Bring your own toys or rent from one of the locally owned businesses in Island Park. We suggest:
We can provide links to the snowmobile trail map, grooming report, and winter rec info if requested.
Note to winter renters: The cabin driveway is plowed out regularly in winter months, however in the event of a snowstorm during your stay, we suggest guests unload their equipment at the cabin and park trailers at the Kilgore-Yale and Old Shotgun Rd intersection. We also highly suggest that guests staying in the winter come up in a 4-wheel drive vehicle. Winter weather can be unpredictable in Island Park, and without 4-wheel drive, you may find yourself stuck until a snowplow can get back out to the area.
Also, a note to ATV/Snowmobile riders that recreational vehicles are required to be on the designated trails and never on personal property. The HOA at Centennial Shores will fine property owners if renters ride off trail or use un-built cabin lots as their riding destination. If a violation is reported, renters will be charged a $75 daily fine for each incidence.
Note to summer/fall rentals: We are on a reservoir so water levels will start dipping in late July due to irrigation and current drought conditions. Usually this does not hinder water recreation such as boating, fishing, swimming, etc, but if you are concerned, please contact us to check the current water levels.
Also note, our cabin is not equipped with A/C. It is uncommon for properties in Island Park to have A/C, and it generally is not needed, even in the summer months.
This is a non-smoking, pet free cabin. We are also under a county ordinance for short term rentals and ask that our guests please stay in compliance for their safety and health; we ask that you stay within our occupancy limits, read the burn ordinances and please be neighborly.
Check in: 4:00pm - Check out: 11:00am (Please contact owner if need early or late check-in or departure and we will do our best to accommodate your request).
HOUSE RULES/LIABILITY WAIVER: Our property provides you with a unique opportunity to swim, fish, participate in water sports, build a campfire, and relax in a hot tub. We want you to take advantage of these amenities and have a memorable visit. However, by agreeing to our House Rules, you acknowledge that there are inherent risks involved with participating in these activities and that lakes, water sports, stairs, campfires and hot tubbing may present dangers for adults and children. 6 family & friends had a perfect weeklong stay in late September at the cabin. The craftsmanship of every inch of the home is absolutely stunning and the highlight of the home. We loved waking up to views of the lake and seeing pronghorn bounding by at dusk. We spent every day in Yellowstone and were grateful to have a beautiful relaxing place to return to. Do note, if you're looking for convenience to Yellowstone's sights, stay in the park. We deliberately traded a longer drive time (45 mins each way outside the park gate) for a unique and comfortable home. The experience of the log cabin was well worth it to us.
The cabin was beautiful and gave us lots of space for dinners and family time after long days in Yellowstone! Windows give you spectacular views of the mountains or the water from every room! The owners were always super quick to respond and really great! We loved our time there!
Had a wonderful time! This cabin was beautiful and had all the amenities to make a fun family vacation! Would absolutely stay here next year! Thank you! ❤️
This cabin is one of the most beautiful I have ever been in. It was comfortable and had everything we could have possibly needed. It was very apparent that the owners put a tremendous amount of thought into the design of this cabin. I would return in a heartbeat! Thank you Curtis & Gloria for sharing your beautiful home.
Beautiful home! Extremely clean and well stocked! We had a great time fishing and enjoying th sunsets in the deck! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home!
The Treehouse was perfect in its location to Yellowstone and accommodating our 2 families. The owners had everything you could possibly need or want. The view is breathtaking. Very convenient to horse back riding- right there! Highly recommend this property!
The treehouse was just as advertised by other reviews. It was very clean, cozy and convenient to Yellowstone. Would absolutely stay there again in the future.
This cabin was beautiful and spacious. Lots of room for the family to spread out. We loved the kitchen. Short driving distance to West Yellowstone. Great place to stay.
The Treehouse was our base for trips into Yellowstone. The house was amazing and owners super prompt with any needed assistance. The lake was a great side benefit.
This property was fantastic. The attention to detail when designing and building this cabin is incredible.
We had three generations of family for our stay and everyone loved it. The bedrooms were comfortable. The kitchen is good enough for any chef.
All in all it has a relaxed, homey feel in a spectacular setting.

Excellent, first class home in every way.
We had our family of 10 ranging from 10-86. It was gorgeous and perfectly outfitted and designed. We used it as our base point for our West Yellowstone visits and it worked out perfect.
Would highly recommend the cabin to anyone!
This place is one of the most incredible VRBO stays we have had to date. Nestled in Island Park, this paradise is away from everyone so you are sure to find peace and tranquility. This house is immaculate. The owners are very generous to share this serene abode with all. They are very communicative and the place is stunningly beautiful and very well taken care of.
Nice cabin in a quiet spot. The only drawback for us was the WiFi. Our daughter drove 6 hours to get there and planned to do her homework there since we were told we would have WiFi. It is very spotty and turns on and off ALL the time. She ended up having to leave after 1 day so she could get complete her homework. It was supposed to be a family vacation so we were sad about the WiFi not working well. The owners are very nice though.
This property was very, very nice. We loved all of the details and decor. It was a perfect setting for this area! I would definitely come back to visit. The owners responded very quickly to emails and questions. The house was furnished so well and there was a sweet treat waiting for us, too! The only thing we didn’t like was having to take our trash to the local landfill when we left. Thanks for a wonderful three days!!
This house was perfect for ourseleves, 2 adult children with their families. We rentedbthis house due to the proximity to Yellowstone's west entrance, but unfortunately mother nature caused flooding and the park was closed. However, there are so many sight seeing, hiking and adventure opportunities in the area we all managed to have a wonderful time. The house is very well equipped with everything you might need! Would definitely rent this house again.
Night stands with lamps in rooms would have been nice. Also a couple of box fans for the not so cool nights. And the shoes off requirements was a bit extreme. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Just pack a small fan and bring a lamp ☺️
"PERFECT, SPECTACULAR, BREATH TAKING TREE - HOUSE CABIN" !!!
Our annual family summer vacation was a total success...mostly because of the awesome, amazing tree house. Such a beautiful cabin, lovely decor, and spotless. The cleanest VRBO we have ever rented. The Morgans did not skimp on anything. Cabin is furnished with all the towels, bedding, tv, wi fi, kayaks, fishing poles, kitchen utensils. Everything at your finger tips. Within walking distance to the reservoir. Beautiful views from the cabin. I could have stayed there forever.

Perfect Yellowstone get-away!
The Treehouse was perfect for our two families! There were 9 of us and we loved that there were plenty of places to sleep and that we could all sit at that amazing table together for dinner. The kitchen had everything that we needed to cook our meals. We took the kayaks out and had a fantastic water fight at the lake. The trip into Yellowstone was easy and we loved the sights but coming home to the Treehouse made the vacation extra special. Your cabin allowed us to be together and not separated into rooms of a hotel. Thank you for sharing your home with us!
BEST Christmas vacation! This cabin was the perfect setting for celebrating Christmas with our family. We loved our stay at the treehouse and highly recommend the experience inside and out. Beautifully crafted cabin that was well maintained and comfortable. Island Park itself is a destination location to experience. Snowmobiling and sledding in deep power was a blast! Yellowstone NP in the winter is a bucket list type experience. The treehouse is a perfect base camp to explore all its surrounding Beauty. The memories will last a life time. Thank you for sharing.
We were thrilled with our rental experience. Our stay was absolutely perfect. The cabin is just as described and was even better in person. The owners provided everything to help create a wonderful vacation for our family from the well-stocked kitchen, variety of water toys, comfortable beds, really clean and immaculate cabin, and communication from the owner. The location in Island Park was perfect. Close enough to visit West Yellowstone, hike some beautiful trails, enjoy the local restaurants, and to play on the lake--and yet tucked away enough to experience the quiet we were hoping for. We are so grateful we chose to rent this cabin and hope to return again with our children and grandchildren very soon. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us.
