Getting Around:
Guests will need to make sure they have their own vehicle. Summer months are fine with a small car but four wheel drive is a must in the winter!
Other Things to Note:
What to bring with you!- You're coming to a wilderness area to vacation and if you plan your vacation well you will have a positive experience. In the summertime May and through the middle of June can tend to be cooler early morning and toward the evening hours. Make sure to bring a jacket and long pants you can change into when needed. Bring a pair of tie up shoes to protect your feet. Shoes likes flip flops or sandals will not protect your feet when you are out exploring. Layering your clothing is a good idea and then if your too warm you can take off clothing as needed. At least this way when departing your cabin early morning to go site seeing you will have what you need with you. July and August are pretty warm and you should still bring a light jacket. The rest of the year you will want to bring heavier jackets and long underwear, snow suits etc. You will need to bring your private toiletries like bar soap and shampoo as we do not provide this for you. Cabins are equipped with everything else you should need except food of course. Snow tires and four-wheel-drive are recommended for traveling in Eastern Idaho during the winter. Road conditions can change quickly, and even well-traveled highways are occasionally closed by blizzards or high winds. Before setting out, check the Transportation Department's website or call 511 for an automated, up-to-the-minute status of all thoroughfares. Wise motorists will also carry emergency gear (shovel, snack bars, water, blankets) in their vehicles to be ready for any contingency. Coming Snowmobiling? A reminder to anyone traveling back country areas whether skiing, snowmobiling or hiking: Remember the time of year, exercising all back country cautions. Take necessary equipment and survival gear when venturing into the back country. If you have a GPS and cell phone, be sure to take them with you, but do not rely on them entirely for a safe rescue if you find yourself in trouble or stranded. Cell phones should be kept close to your body & turned off to keep the battery full, so it's not searching for a signal & running the battery down. Avalanche Transceivers and equipment, knowing what the avalanche conditions are, and knowing skills to save lives are a must for everyone entering back country riding or traveling. Plan ahead. Make sure you know the area you are going into before heading into it. If you find yourself in trouble, stop, take a look around you, and do not go any further. The further you go the more complicated and dangerous it is to get yourself to safety, also making rescue efforts more difficult and dangerous. Make mental notes in relation to any physical features or landmarks that would assist in your rescue. Make a plan, stick to your plan, narrow the riding area, & most of all...let someone know WHERE you are planning to go!

We loved the location and that it was out of the way and we were secluded and felt all by ourselves. They came and plowed the snow so we didn’t worry about getting stuck. There was plenty of room for all our family and we really liked that there were 3 full bathrooms. We do wish there were more places to hang your winter clothes. The living area took about a day to warm up enough that we weren’t cold and the TV had some issues but we made do and had a blast.
This house is so beautiful. It looks just like the pictures. It’s near the end of a quite gravel road so it’s quiet and private. We saw several moose including babies and a bull right in our neighborhood. The host was very responsive to our needs. It was the perfect place to stay on our visit to Yellowstone. The park is only about 40 minutes away so it was an easy drive back and forth.
While Moose Creek does require a longer drive to Yellowstone, the cabin and surrounding area was absolutely worth the drive. We saw a family of Moose right out our windows!! Everyone could spread out with there own bed and having 3 bathrooms was essentially. Would highly recommend Moose Creek!
We rented this cabin for a small family reunion with our sons, partner, and two dogs. This beautiful cabin was fairly remote so it was quiet and comfortable, yet we were close enough to restaurants, Yellowstone, and West Yellowstone. With a full kitchen, we had the opinion of eating in and snacking. When we were back at the cabin for the evenings, we watched movies and played board games. I cannot recommend this place enough!!
Yep, just like the other reviewers said…plenty of room, comfortable, perfect for our time together as a family, and rutted roads to get there. Just what we hoped for. Thank you.
If you are looking for a place to stay this is great. Just needed a few more towels and wash cloths to do dishes but other than that... Great!

Amazing Cabin in a beautiful surrounding!
We rented this cabin and spent our Christmas here. It was absolutely perfect! It was clean and the beds were comfortable. The view is amazing and it’s tucked back in a little cove so it’s very private. My husband is already planning a time to come back.

Great accommodations and helpful management
Anyone can give a raving review when everything goes right, but I judge the difference between good and bad management by what happens when things don’t go exactly as planned. At Moose creek not only will you enjoy a beautiful, clean, spacious cabin you won’t want to leave but they will also do what they can to help in case things don’t go exactly according to plan. They truly care about their guests.
Great home, dog friendly, perfect area, very comfortable. The kitchen could use a utensil update.....horrible can opener, no sharp knives, no steak knives, only 4 glasses in cupboard and although the orange water is mentioned, it should be highlighted. Bottled water is a must!
Snow plowing was outstanding. Working with Alexa was fabulous. Overall a wonderful visit!!
We loved our stay! It was great, check in process was very easy and instructions were detailed. The cabin was clean.
Just wish they had better appliances and utensils. The dishwasher was not working but we managed. :)
Overall good stay, just when booking keep in mind that it’s a dirt road so if you have a car that’s low it might be a little bit of a challenge!

Great location and beautiful house…we hope these observations will be helpful. Spots all over all carpets. Not enough towels for bathrooms and kitchen. 3 kitchen towels found behind pot holders. Toilets and bathroom plumbing inadequate. Toilet upstairs and in laundry room both backed up. We only had 6 people (adults ) there. No coat hangers. Queen bedroom upstairs had bedspread and pillow covers thrown on closet floor not on bed, pillows were flat and poor quality. Wood floors not adequately cleaned. We took off shoes to have bare floors feel sandy (ugh.). Needed more cups and glasses in kitchen. Dog scratches on doors and cabinets obvious in upstairs and laundry bath. We enjoyed our stay in your beautiful cabin!

Amazing for some good family time!
We loved it! We wanted to spend Thanksgiving in Island Park as a family-we had five adults and three children and we had a great time! There was plenty of room-bedrooms were nice, the beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was big and had everything we needed-the table in the dining area was beautiful and the views out the windows were amazing. We saw 3 moose the one morning and woke up to it snowing the next day. Main bath has a beautiful claw foot bathtub. We had a great time and made some great memories-even took family pictures outside and they turned out great. We were called upon arrival to make sure we had made it safely and then had someone show up to make sure the driveway was plowed for us. We are already planning our next trip there for Turkey Day!!
Thank You!!

I almost don't want to submit a review and let the secret out!
I reserved this cabin specifically for a small family gathering because my son and daughter-in law have two small dogs and this cabin is one of the few pet-friendly places available. In a nutshell, this place was awesome! It was even better than the pictures depicted. The queen log bed in the master has been replaced with a king size bed, and the log queen size is now in the loft area. The master bath is stunning. The kitchen with its big breakfast bar and beautiful huge table was amazing. The flooring downstairs (which looks to be carpet in the picture) is now a beautiful wood-look vinyl. The two futons in the living room have been replaced with two of the biggest most comfortable leather couches I have ever seen, and they each recline on both ends. (I have been coveting these couches ever since....next time I reserve this place I am going to look for a brand name and get myself one of these couches!) One of the bedrooms upstairs has a queen bed. The other bedroom (if I recall correctly) had a full bed, bunk beds, and one of the futons. We loved the privacy (this is almost to the end of a dead end street...there are other cabins around but you can't see them through the trees). The view is amazing. Very beautiful and peaceful. Even the towels were awesome! I actually came home and bought all new towels! We had a wonderful time in this cabin and honestly, on my next visits to Island Park...for the tranquility and amenities, and especially the price (its hard to find a MOTEL room for that price, and here you get a beautiful cabin!), even with NO pets this will be my cabin of choice!
We had a great vacation planned in Yellowstone, and the cabin was a nice bonus. We travel quite often and this was one of the cleanest rentals we have stayed at. The fireplace needed to be serviced and they took care of it right away. The gentleman that came to help was courteous and helpful with sites to see. Overall it was just as described and we plan to go back.
Every morning we had early breakfast an enjoyed the wild life. Fox one day deer the next moose family the three day and deer all just outside the window what a perfect way to start the dsy

Remote Getaway
Well stocked and wonderful house for a large group/family that enjoys each others company, but could be a little tight if not. This remote home is a long drive to the town of West Yellowstone and the West Yellowstone entrance.
The rodes to reach the property are dirt and gravel and can be difficult for certain vehicles. Not pleasant.
Be aware that if you have children or have dogs that need to be let out to relieve themselves, it can be dangerous. Moose in the yard daily and we were visited by a mama Grizzly bear and her large two cubs. Sheriff warned us not to go out early mornings, dusk, or in the dark. That makes for anxious outdoor experiences, especially when trying to walk you dog.
But for outdoors men and women, this couldn't be a more perfect location.
We stayed here for Christmas and it was magical. The location was so dreamy tucked back behind trees with a little drive to sled on. The cabin was perfect with a room for all the snow clothes and large family gathering area for everyone to hang out.
Beautiful cabin, quiet and inviting. The cleaners could do a better job. The dirt road to get to the cabin needed to be grated and holes filled in. Located about 35 minutes from West Yellowstone entrance. Good location.
