This was our first visit to Ishigaki. The hotel is a bit removed from the airport or sea port, but the sunrise and calm views more than make up for it. Staff is excellent!

Overall, our stay at ANA was a delight. Breakfast options were plentiful and upscale (especially the Japanese offering) and service was always friendly and top-notch. My only suggestion would be to have a small section of the pool reserved for adults-only, as I felt the property was more so geared towards children (all three pools) and less towards adults/couples looking to relax.

Great stay

We decided to upgrade to a club benefits room which was a great experience. We really enjoyed breakfast, tea time and happy hour. The resort is beautiful and the pool was heated. My husband did a round of golf which he enjoyed. The only con was free weights in weight room only go to 10kg.

We absolutely LOVED our stay here!! From check in to check out, everything was comfortable, beautiful, and fun. The beach with amenities was great - the pools 😍, all of the restaurants, the comfy beds and room. Loved it all. Great for families or friends. Drinks by the pool, a plus 😉

Took my mom for vacation. Seems like she enjoyed the stay and food. We did not go to the Buffett however the Japanese breakfast was great. The room was clean and bathtub was large and you can relax.

Amazing staff, helpful to the fullest! When out of their way to accommodate and make recommendations. The resort is beautiful and very clean. Has many dining options and beautiful views of the ocean. I will definitely stay here again! Thank you for an amazing experience.

Positive: - The breakfast options were good - The main pool is big and looks good - The staff was polite and helpful (although not as much as one would see in other parts of Japan) Negative: - The hotel looked a bit dated - a DVD player in 2025 isn't really necessary... - Key places for a good vacation experience needed better cleaning/maintenance (balconies, windows, pool slide, hotel beach, etc) - Charging "resort fees" of less than one percent of the total reservation price feels cheap - just add it to the overall reservation if it's really necessary and keep the experience of enjoying the stay without dealing with such small fees - The pool bar needs more variety

We had an Ocean view room. The room was clean and well attended. The hotel is a resort with a couple of pools, a few restaurants and lounge. We used the lounge and Soltida,a more casual restaurant. The other two restaurants looked very nice, however quite expensive. The breakfast buffet was very good. Large selection of western and Japanese foods. The front desk staff was always very helpful to arrange dinner reservations and taxis. The hotel is a little bit too far of a walk from downtown, especially in the heat and humidity. There is a bus that runs to downtown however we did not use it. Taxis were inexpensive. The hotel provided free parking as we had a rental car that we used to explore the island. Ishigaki is definitely a nice tranquil island and a nice break from the hustle and bustle of the bigger Japanese cities.

We really enjoyed our stay at ANA Intercontinental. We booked a room in the „Intercontinental Club“. Important to note: the Bay Wing and Club Wing are quite modern, whereas the Coral Wing seems quite dated. We can only speak for the Bay/Coral Wing: very nice rooms - modern and stylish, generally feels very new. Pool areas are pretty with plenty of sunbeds and cabanas (first come, first serve). The locations is great. You can bring a car or alternatively rent taxis at concierge to drive you around the island. Lovely personnel and service. We will come back. Highly recommended.

Comfortable, Clean & Modern

We had a wonderful time at the ANA Intercontinental Ishigaki. Our room was comfortable, clean, and modern. The lobby always smelled refreshing. It was easy to get to the restaurants, pools, and amenities at other wings. It you rent a car, there was plenty of parking. We really had a lovely vacation and we're very happy with our choice to stay at ANA.

The hotel is beautiful and well located on the beachfront. We had a stunning view. The room was spacious, clean and beautiful. The only thing we were very disappointed in was the poor level of English in the reception area. It was painful and at times impossible to inquire about anything. They have a service app that was helpful with most things but when it wasn’t working or it wasn’t a simple matter and you have to go through reception it is very difficult.

It is my first time coming to Ishigaki in Okinawa. Japanese service obviously is top notch. But ANA Intercontinental Ishigaki Resort service is just something else. A big shout out to Miki at the front desk of the Bay Wing where we were at. Our flight was 8am and taxi typically don’t operate that early to take us to the airport. Miki just relentlessly calling for us and proactively suggested to get two taxi instead of a big one such that we can get to the airport as fast as possible. All other staffs were awesome also. Room is superb. Food was great. The pool and beach facilities are amazing. I will definitely come back again!!!

Beware...We didn't know when we checked in (being from very far away) that the amenities that enticed us were only available in the Bayside area. We were located in the Oceanside. It was older and needed updates and repairs. There was nowhere to sit or dine outdoors, even though we traveled far to be in a tropical environment. Since we were unhappy with the accommodations, they offered us an upgrade to the Bayside area for one night-our last night there. This last night was the most enjoyable time we had there. It was very beautiful and comfortable. The beach at the resort is not worth visiting, so if that is important to you, know that you will need to find somewhere else to enjoy a beach experience. We went on a fishing tour and a snorkeling tour which were fantastic. I also took advantage of the spa on location. It was a nice experience. Our party included children teens and adults.

Our stay here was truly wonderful! The hotel’s decor is elegant and refined, and the hand towels with various fragrances made each use a delightful experience. The room was thoughtfully designed, with all amenities made from bamboo, reflecting both quality and eco-consciousness — something I really appreciated. The bed frame was solid and the mattress was perfectly balanced between soft and firm, allowing for a restful sleep every night. Swimming every day was one of the most relaxing highlights of our trip. The staff at the entrance who assisted with transportation were extremely professional and always welcomed us with warm smiles, making us feel very at home. Compared to them, the front desk staff were a bit more serious, but overall the service standard was still excellent. A special thanks to Mii from the leisure center — she was an outstanding snorkeling guide who patiently led me and my child through our very first snorkeling experience, creating beautiful and unforgettable memories for us. Overall, it was a happy and refreshing holiday, and I truly look forward to staying here again in the future. Thank you so much!
