"We all really enjoyed our long weekend at this property outside Reedville, VA. The pool was a highlight! Property is in good condition overall, if a bit dated, and located in a very quiet residential area. The house is compact and best fit for 2-3 people, and older kids since the interior stairs are steep and there is a lot of water nearby. "

"We particularly enjoyed the beachfront location, it made our multiple trips to the water so much easier. We made use of the fire pit, the beach, and the kayaks. It was nice not to have to haul our personal kayaks across the state! We did choose to bring our own bikes, and life jackets. We saw dolphin, kayaked with some skates, saw a pair of bald eagles and of course the resident ospreys. I’m a big fan of their ac system, as you can choose the temp for each room individually. "We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend. The house was lovely and clean, and the lawn and dock were perfect for getting some sun and watching the ospreys tend their nest. Aaron greeted us and made us feel welcome and responded to the one or two questions we had during our stay. "

This is a lovely and spacious home with a million thoughtful touches. The property itself is spectacular and our gang enjoyed the kayaks, paddle boat and fire pit. "We had a great time kayaking, fishing, catching crabs and eating outside with our family under the picnic table. We didn’t get a chance to use the firepit but we really appreciate that there are firewood available to use. The house is was perfect for my family. I’m glad that even though it’s an older home, the bathrooms and bedrooms were updated. My mom and sisters who came with us really enjoyed the stay too. The host were great and awesome too. Quick on responding too."

The house itself is beautiful, spotless, and so well taken care of—it truly feels like a home away from home. Every detail is thoughtfully provided, and it makes our trips so relaxing and enjoyable. Cheri is one of the kindest and most attentive hosts we’ve ever met, and it’s clear how much she cares about her guests. We couldn’t imagine staying anywhere else and are already looking forward to coming back next year!"

BEACH COTTAGE BY THE SEA....

"We LOVED our stay and it was so relaxing. We traveled with an infant (5 months) and it went great. The Jacobs were so generous and offered us an early day check-in and late check-out free of charge. The sunrises were EXTRAORDINARY and the property is fully stacked with anything you need but might forget. Ex: we forgot our bug spray and found one on the property! The property is clean, kitchen fully functional and well stocked with cooking/serving wear. Freezer has an ice maker and that was great. Notes for future travelers:- The property is small, think trailer house. So if you have tall/large travelers, this might not be the place for you. My husband managed to be okay, but was not able to be in certain parts of the property."

"This is a lovely quiet property on the water. It was the best supplied property I’ve ever stayed in with food in the cupboard and fridge and bath room toiletries, even an extra toothbrush. (Good thing because I forgot mine.) There’s plenty of room to spread out and even a pool table. Highly recommended for your next trip to this wonderful little corner of the world. "
