What a great place! It’s nestled at the end of a long driveway and opens up to an enjoyable area on the water and in the woods. Very private - yet several small towns within a short drive.
Idyllic setting. Perfect for us "out-of-towners" here for a wedding. Enjoyed canoeing, hiking, dining, barbecue during down time. Lots of space to spread out in the house for those needing to work remotely for a time.
Excellent space for a varied group of friends and family at a difficult time. Comfortable accommodations and places to gather for support. Beautiful area and house
The house was very picturesque and perfect for gathering with family. We didn't' need anything other than our clothes and some food to make it feel like home. We would absolutely recommend this house and hope to visit again.
The lodge was just a described. Very comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. Being along the river was a pleasant surprise and the large windows offered great views of the ducks and geese. A few turkeys visited as well.
Magnificent house overlooking peaceful bend in Ipswich River. 2 LRs, 2 DRs, lovely kitchen, and peaceful patio. But be inside before sunset or be well covered. There are some hungry mosquitoes!
The house, the property and the Rachel (the host) were all incredible. The house itself was beautiful and had plenty of room for my party of 9. I loved the creeking wooden floors and doors in the home and the views to the outside were amazing. The host provided numerous videos of where things were located and how to work them appropriately. She was available for questions and was quick to respond to our concerns. The property has beautiful trails and this time of year, the ambience is so peaceful as the leaves are changing colors. This was an extraordinary place to stay over the weekend. I do plan to come back soon!
This property was part of a historical estate, which was interesting to learn of while walking the property. It is now a 7 acre parcel, with a barn, overlooking the river.
It was very nice to unplug here, and be surrounded by nature. If you enjoy canoeing, walking through the woods, and sitting out on a patio with a firepit, this is the place to be. There were many deer sightings, and plenty of birds to see. It is down a long drive, so very peaceful, but town for conveniences are very close by.
We were here for a family reunion and 90th birthday celebration. There are stairs for all of the bedrooms, if that is a consideration for your stay.
We used the property as a base for exploring the area with family members a group of 6. Everyone had lots of space. There was even a nice private work area for some video calls I needed for some business meetings. Internet was very reliable.
Kitchen is very well equipped and having the bbq on the patio area was great for dinners. The patio was a peaceful place for drinks or coffee in the morning.
The surrounding are more than peaceful you would never know you were close to any town or city.
Host was great to check in with us to make sure everything was to our liking. Instructions for the property were very clear and straightforward.
This a great spot for anyone looking for just a peaceful getaway or as a base for some exploring of the area.
We would definitely rent it again if the opportunity arises.
We loved our stay! We used the property for a corporate offsite and there was plenty of room for everyone. We really enjoyed the view from the living room especially.
