"I was pleasantly surprised during our last visit to the Hotel. We used it as a halfway stop on the way back from Kimberly. The front-of-house was very friendly, good vibe in the restaurant/pub and the food was very good. One does have to realise it is a "vintage" hotel and if you would be so inclined, one could find fault everywhere. But I will definitely return again. The bedding was excellent and the bed massive! "Buccara was awesome - a stunning and really peaceful location. Martiné was really helpful and set us up with a lovely braai pack. We were fortunate that being a quiet time - we had the entire manor to ourselves. A major suggestion would be to have a viewing deck down at the river so we could sit and have a sun downer looking at the game and birds in the river. It was a bit of a disappointment that we could not really see much of the game on the drive in and out and could not find a nice spot to just sit quietly and read a book while watching the game and birds. the rest was really awesome."
