This stunning holiday home, set in an idyllic location overlooking Kip Marina, home of the Scotland boat show, provides the perfect setting for a relaxing break and a taste of coastal living, whilst offering easy access to local pubs, restaurants, shops, beautiful walks, and many interesting places to visit.
The apartment has an open plan living/dining and kitchen area which is comfortable and spacious, creating a real home from home feel. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you would need for a self-catering stay. Special care has been taken when furnishing the property, giving it an inviting and stylish feel. The living room has lovely splashes of colour and is the perfect area for chilling out after a day at the seaside, watching Netflix on the 4K smart TV. There are two bedrooms, the master having a king size bed and ensuite shower room, the second having two singles that can be linked together to make a super king on request. There is also a travel cot, highchair and bedding available at this apartment. The property also benefits from a family sized bathroom with over bath shower. There is a small office where you can catch up with those necessary emails in peace and quiet. The office is equipped with a charging station so no need to worry if you have left that cable at home. There is a small enclosed garden at the property where you can sit and enjoy a sunny Scottish afternoon with a view of the marina. Outdoor garden furniture and an electric barbecue are provided for your use. A minute or so’s walk and you are on the beach overlooking the water and local islands. The coastal path takes you a stunning walk or cycle along the water’s edge all the way to Lunderston Bay where you can stop off at Cardwell Garden Centre and restaurant.
Within the Marina, the Chartroom restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and in the working boatyard, during the summer season, you will also find the cosy Café Riva run by Nardini’s who also own Scotland’s famous Café, Restaurant and Destination Ice Cream Parlour in nearby Largs. Within half a mile of the apartment you have a supermarket, bistro, chip shop and a hairdresser. A short walk over the bridge you will find the Inverkip hotel offering a lovely village pub for food and drinks. The Village also has a post office and chemist less than a 10 minute walk from the property so you will never need to travel far.
Inverkip Station can be found a 15 minute walk from the property and there are hourly trains to Glasgow if you wish to explore further. The journey will have you in the big city in 40 minutes.
At Wemyss Bay, 5 minutes drive from the apartment, you can catch the ferry to Rothesay, on the Isle of Bute. Wemyss Bay also offers The Seaview café , a fish and chip shop and an award winning butchers, said to have the best Haggis in the area. The beautiful Railway Station has a cosy Pub with great atmosphere and a real fire as well as a station café and a second hand bookshop with a small library of old photos from years ago when families took their holidays ‘Doon the Water’ on the paddle steamers.
The lovely Island of Millport, extremely popular with families, is also accessible by a short ferry trip from Largs. You can hire bikes and cycle all the way round Millport and because it is fairly flat it is suitable for all levels of cyclists and walkers. You can take a trip on the Waverley, the last seagoing paddle steamer in the world, from Largs and other nearby departure points such as Greenock. Visit http://www.waverleyexcursions.co.uk/ Largs is also home to the Vikingar Leisure Centre with swimming pool which is another fun day out for the family. There is also the Waterfront Leisure Centre in Greenock and an outdoor swimming pool in Gourock.
Various other locations can also be reached by ferry from neighbouring Gourock. There are two ferries to Dunoon, gateway to the forest of Argyll, the car ferry can be boarded from McInroy’s Point, Gourock and will take you to Hunters Quay, just outside of Dunoon. If you do not require a car the Argyll passenger ferry can be taken from the ferry terminal next to Gourock railway station and this would take you straight to Dunoon town centre.
Another lovely ferry trip is the little Kilcreggan passenger ferry from Gourock terminal – it only takes 15 minutes and is a very reasonably priced boat trip http://www.spt.co.uk/kilcreggan-ferry/
You can even set sail for Arran by ferry if you head 20 miles down the coast to Ardrossan, a drive of around 40 minutes by car from the apartment but well worth the trip.
No matter your reason for your visit be it relaxation, a family break, walking or exploring the wonderful areas of Scotland we cannot wait to welcome you.
We will be available by phone and email at all times

We had a very good stay. Love the location. The flat is very well equipped and has a nice garden. This is our second time staying here and will definitely stay there again.
This is our 3rd time staying here and it was has been as wonderful as ever. Great amenities, lovely furnishings all thoughtfully laid out and of course great walks along the coast.
Can’t wait to stay here again.
The property was wonderful. Very clean and very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. Location is great looking out over the marina and right beside a coastal walkway that was lovely. Would definitely stay here again.
We spent two weeks in Inverkip. We found a very well equipped apartment - nothing was missing. It´s a good location for some trips. So we visited Glasgow, Loch Lomond, the Isle of Arran and even Stirling and Edinburgh. We had a good time in Inverkip and we can really recommend this apartement.

Super comfy, well equiped and in a prime spot overlooking the marina with a lovely little garden
It was both relaxing and tranquil - whilst also being situated in the heart of a beautiful marina. The layout was perfect for two couples offering both privacy and good spacious communal space. The dog friendly element was a godsend - and they had thought of everything for the dog too!
The apartment was extremely well equiped - we couldn't fault the attention to detail. It provided a lovely setting for our holiday - thank you
Although the outlook from the apartment is not picturesque in itself, a very short stroll takes you to a beach with a wonderful view. Kitchen very well fitted out and clean and serviceable utensils etc. which is often not the case with self catering. Wifi, Smart TV, Smart Home lighting etc. all adds to a very clean smart and comfortable base for a break.
An absolutely outstanding holiday let, not one negative thing l can say about it. The property itself was so well kitted out with gadgets and gizmos that you can hardly believe the owner is willing to share it. We could not find a single item of kitchen utensils that was not catered for. I would certainly recommend it, the marina was so peaceful and a short walk you could see scotland lochs and hills. It was an absolute treat.
I'm hesitant to write a glowing review, because I selfishly don't want it to become so popular I can't rent it again! However, I cannot deny this is a gem of a place to stay. The flat is impeccable and very well appointed with every convenience. The location beside the marina with the access to the beach and Ardgowan estate trails provides excellent scenic walks. It's a peaceful setting with nearby access to amenities, public transport and main driving routes up and "Doon the water" !
Marina View is a very comfortable, extremely well appointed and spacious apartment located just a stones throw from the coastal path and with easy access to rail ands ferry transport into Glasgow or to the nearby islands of Bute and Cumbrae. We had a really pleasant and enjoyable time exploring the area.
This is one of the most equipped rentals we have experienced. Loved the neighbourhood especially the walk along the Clyde. Would most definitely rent this property again.
We booked Marina View for 4 nights, myself, husband, two teenage daughters. abs our two dogs. Despite the awful weather we had a lovely time. Apartment is beautifully furnished, well decorated and spotlessly clean. Would love to sit in the little garden in the summer watching the boats coming in and out of the Marina. We had a drive to Wemyss Bay, Largs and all round Loch Lomond. It’s very handy for Glasgow too.
