The staff was unfriendly at check in, which I have never experienced on my trip through Sri Lanka. It was all about charging the credit card as quickly as possible. The rooms need to be renovated, especially the bathroom, looks a bit outdated and not well maintained.

La plage de l’hôtel est superbe (transat gratuit+ service de nourriture et boisson sur la plage) et surtout très peu de monde . Le personnel est au petit soin avec vous. Les chambres sont spacieuses avec un grand balcon donnant sur l'océan (choisir un chambre au deuxième ou troisième étage pour la vue. Le restaurant est bien avec une nourriture copieuse. La ville est à coté (4 km) à 5 min de touctouc (1,5 euro le trajet) On a adoré.

Stayed one night. It was a pleasant stay. We had an overly smelly (too strong of whatever air freshener they use) room so they let us sleep in the room next door. Both rooms had two single beds put together. Slept comfortably. Breakfast was simple but good. The pool is a nice amenity and the private beach is beautiful. Pleasant stay for one night.

Beautiful Hotel and great staff

We love and really recommend this beautiful Hotel! Lovely staff, Great location and such a good food. Long and nice beach that you only share with hotel guests. And with a tuk tuk its only take 5 minuts in to center of Bentota.

Schön gelegen mit privatstrand, der allerdings gerade erst für die saison hergerichtet wurde. Dreckige bettlaken und eher aufdringlicher service. Habe mich konstant unter Beobachtung gefühlt. Essen war so lala.

Super Hotel direkt am Strand

Wir hatten das Hotel nahezu für uns alleine und daher war es eine umso persönlichere Atmosphäre. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Es gab diverse Auswahlmöglichkeiten beim Frühstück und auch die Speisekarte war sehr umfangreich - selbstredend war das Essen äußerst lecker! Das Zimmer hatte einen tollen Blick auf den Pool und auch aufs Meer, was uns unsere letzten Tage in Sri Lanka zusätzlich versüßt hat. Der Strand des Hotels war immer sauber und wir konnten die Liegen des Hotels benutzen. Die Lage ist leicht südlich von Bentota und mit dem TukTuk in ca. 5 min erreichbar.

Nice private beach, but the bridge to the beach failed. All of the rooms are ocean front but hidden by palm trees. Ants crawling in the room, and the toilet smells really bad.

Jättefint hotell och lång och fin strand. Fanns inga direkta gångstråk på kvällen, så om man ville in till stan eller åka och äta någon annanstans fick man åka tuk-tuk. Funkade iofs bra också.

Decent hotel with own private beach

This is a decent enough hotel - the bedroom and bathroom were a good size and well appointed, and there was a nice balcony. The pool was ok, but not enough space for many loungers. However the beach is beautiful and the staff were great. The hotel itself is a little isolated, so not many eating choices within walking distance and the food was ok but nothing special.

Hinta laatusuhde huono. Huoneen hintaan sisältyi WiFi, tämä toimi ainoastaan respan vieressä.. Huone oli muuten ihan ok. Hotellin yleisten tilojen siisteys ei ollut hyvä, samoin ruoka ja juomat olivat epämääräisiä.. Aamupala ihan ok. Hotellin ranta oli kaunis ja rauhallinen, aallokko oli aika voimakas. Palvelutaso tyydyttävä.

Det var stora och fina rum som var välstädade. Vi hade fått ett lakan som var lite smutsigt när vi kom men de bytte ut dem direkt. Inga kryp eller annat som vi såg på hela hotellet. Vi stannade i 9 nätter och då fick vi gratis tuktuk resor från hotellet de närmsta 10km. Engelskan var sådär, det gick att göra sig förstådd men inte mycket mer. Däremot är alla supervänliga och gör verkligen allt de kan för att man ska trivas, oavsett om de förstår vad du säger eller ej. Läget är okej precis vid stranden och vågar man bara gå några 100 meter så kan man upptäcka 3 andra strandelar som var väldigt fina! Däremot måste man ta tuktuk eller bil för att ta sig till Bentota för att t.ex. äta.

Underbart litet hotell med egen privat strand

Detta hotell kan jag verkligen rekommendera ++++ Supermysigt hotell med egen privat strand. Personligt och lugnt hotell. Fantastiskt god mat och bra service. Underbart SPA beläget i en liten hydda vid strandkanten. Det enda negativa var att wi-fi fungerade lite dåligt med det var pga åskväder som vi hade varje kväll.

Gutes Hotel an einem Traumstrand

Das Hotel kann auf jeden Fall weiterempfohlen werden, da es zwar ziemlich außerhalb liegt, aber wofür gibt's eigentlich ein Tuc Tuc! Besonders zu erwähnen ist in diesem Hotel die Küche, welche wirklich ausgezeichnete Spiesen servierte! Ansonsten alle sehe sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit! leider trifft aber auch beim Roomservice die allgemeine Erkenntnis zu, ohne Trnkgeld geht es leider doch nicht! Aber kann man es den Leuten verübeln?

Very nice place on the beach

I can recommend Rockside Beach Resort as a really good hotel taking into consderation Sri Lankan standards. Everything was ok, staff was kind and helpful. There is nice swimming pool and the beach is wide and secluded. Food was tasty. When you check in you should have your booking printed to avoid misunderstanding about prices/total cost.
