Welcome to Maison Bleu…just 200 steps away from the waters edge of Burt Lake!

  • This cozy Indian River home is minutes from everything northern Michigan has to offer. Petoskey, Harbor Springs, and Mackinaw City are all within 25 minutes. Walking distance to downtown Indian River restaurants, breweries, and entertainment. Visiting in the summer, be sure to bring your boat and cruise the inland waterway all the way to Lake Huron. If you are visiting in the Winter, bring your snowmobile, as you will have access to hundreds of miles of groomed snowmobile trails only 2 blocks away. If skiing is something you enjoy, Nub’s Nob and Boyne Highlands are a 25 minute drive. Cooperation Park in Indian River offers ice skating and a sledding hill for winter fun and tennis and pickleball for summer fun.

    Enjoy end of the road access to Burt Lake; just 200 steps away. You can also can find DeVoe Public Beach an easy 1 block walk. Ken’s Market is 2 blocks away for all of your grocery needs. You can enjoy tubing, rafting, or kayaking on the Sturgeon River at Big Bear Adventures just a 1/2 mile away. North Central State Bike/Walking Trail can be accessed within 2 blocks. Miles of other trails are also a short drive away. Numerous wineries and breweries to be experienced. Golf courses galore within a 30 minute drive or play the Indian River Gold Club just a few minutes away.

    Explore some two track dirt roads and look for Elk. Hit the Sturgeon River or the Pigeon River for some relaxing fly fishing.

We loved our stay!! It was the perfect place for our family of 5. Beds were so comfy, location was excellent, and only a short distance to a beautiful sandy beach. The house was clean and accommodating, and the soak tub was my favorite!!! We will absolutely be back!!

This place is such a cute little house that is newly renovated. It was really clean as well. The back yard is beautiful! I wish we would have had time to enjoy the deck. I’ll definitely be back.

GREAT Location for Anytime Getaway

We appreciate Indian River's central location for trips to surrounding towns as we build our new home in Cheboygan, MI.Maison Bleu is an ideal place to stay. It is conveniently located near dining options, a coffee shop, and a grocery store. The bed and living room seating were comfortable. We also loved the creative vibe throughout the house.Mike was a responsive and gracious host. We're already planning our next visit.

Cozy and clean place to stay. We’re a family of four and there was plenty of room. Each of us commented of how comfortable the beds were and we all slept great. This place has everything you could ask for and is located in a quiet and friendly little neighborhood with lots to do in the surrounding areas. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and we would definitely consider booking again.

Weekend up north

Some of our family was able to get together at a perfect location. The house was clean and comfortable, with all the amenities we needed. Loved that the water was well within walking distance and lived the beach access. We went to the beach, Cross in the Woods and Vivios for dinner. Wish we had more time there. Would definitely come back.

Wonderful stay

My friends and I had a great time here and we definitely will be recommending to others. The owners are very sweet and the house is absolutely beautiful and so accomidating. We had a good time playing games that they had available (they had alot) and we loved curling up on the couch at the end of the day and watching movies together! The house was very clean and felt so safe and calm like I've lived there my whole life, the bath is also so amazing!! Loved our stay!!!

Nice house and area! True to what listing showed. Close beach access was great! Only thing I would have preferred is window coverings on kitchen window and back door. Property is close to the road and I prefer window coverage especially at night. Just a personal preference for me.

Perfect little place to stay!

Super clean home. Beautifully decorated ( well minus the toothless man and woman pics they were a bit freaky) loved the layout loved the space. So so so clean and well taken care of. Loved the gardens and the patio and the patio lights . The games closet and yard games were awesome. Beds comfy . Anyone would love the location .highly. Recommend this gem !

2 Night Stay

We stayed here and commuted to Mackinaw city for the day. This older home has nice cozy feeling. The beds are comfortable and my wife loved the soaking tub. The host was prompt at responding back to the question that I had about the grill onsite. The kitchen was well stocked with supplies. The only complaint was we arrived at 9:30 pm and the outside motion light wasn’t bright at all we had to due with cell phone flash lights.

Michigan getaway

We had a wonderful stay at Mike’s place. It was very cute and as described. The house was spacious with everything we needed and more. The mattresses were so comfortable and the bathroom accommodations were lovely. It’s a short walk to a sandy beach and a couple blocks from a public access beach that was fun for all. Also walking distance to an ice cream shop and party store. Mike was very responsive and helpful. 10/10 recommend!

Wonderful home in a perfect location

We really enjoyed our stay here. The house is remodeled nicely, and was very comfortable. Mike was great, responding to a few questions that we had very quickly. Mike has though of just about everything as far as making the place feel like home and have everything we could possibly need during our stay. The location was perfect. Indian River is 25 minutes from Cheboygan, Mackinaw, and Petoskey. That means plenty of places to wander and explore and great restaurants as well. We also enjoyed wandering the quiet and friendly neighborhood. It's a short walk to the city beach and to the shops and restaurants on main street. Thanks, Mike for making our stay and our Northern Lower Michigan vacation so relaxing and fun.

Incredible Indian River Home!

We booked this property to stay in while in Petoskey for a soccer tournament. This was our first time staying in Indian River. The house is in a nice quiet neighborhood and only minutes away from restaurants, grocery stores and shopping. The property was very clean and exactly as described. We were happy to see coffee and keurig pods - especially since we had to be up early for a game! My boys liked being a short walk to multiple fishing locations. There was also a nice selection of games. The host, Mike, was very responsive and great to work with. We can’t wait to come back again!!

Property was beautiful and well kept. Very clean. Only negative was there was only one small window air conditioning unit for the whole house. The portable one in the closet made a god awful screeching noise and the ceiling dans clunked like they were gonna fall off the ceiling. Made for a pretty warm week. That’s the only complaint we had.
