Paradise on Private 15 Acre Wildlife Sanctuary

The Craftsman cottage is on a private 15 acre wetland providing excellent views of a wide range of birds and other wildlife. French doors open to a deck and huge yard that meets the wetland and walking path around the ponds. Less than 2 miles from the house, enjoy kayaking and walking the Luckiamute Landing Trails at the confluence of the Luckiamute, Santiam and Willamette rivers. Relaxed open design, vaulted ceilings, queen beds, wifi, smart tv with Netflix, full kitchen and coffee bar.

Super cute relaxing getaway!

Amazing and quiet escape

Loved staying here! It was peaceful and quiet, exactly what we needed to escape for a few days. Beautiful property, and very well equipped kitchen!

Beautiful little 2 bedroom home.

Everything was accurate for the listing and the door code was provided in advance. There were many small amenities including coffee/tea, bath items (including bubble bath for the large tub), games/puzzles, and even farm fresh eggs in the fridge.

Hands down - the best vrbo we have stayed in! The property is expansive, peaceful and beautiful - a bird watchers paradise. The inside had so many little touches like bubble bath, coffee and cream and even eggs from her chickens. We would highly recommend !

Great House in a wonderful location

The house is absolutely perfect and in a wonderful and very quiet spot. We really loved it there. We were there for three nights and would come back any time if ever in the area. The house was equipped with everything, beds are great and porch wonderful with a great view.

Great getaway

Loved this property, everything inside the house was immaculate but homey. We also enjoyed the deck and the bbq and the views and sounds of wildlife made our stay very relaxing. We will definitely be back!

Relaxing place to call home base.

Instead of staying in Salem, we found this awesome rental just out of town. It is among rolling hills of farmland. House was clean and impressively updated.

A rural delight!

Wonderfully updated home away from the hustle of the city. Great area for hiking, biking and paddling. Kitchen, bathroom, porch, and propane grill were all first rate. Comfortable beds, washer and dryer, and a great soaking tub. The longer we stayed, the more fun things we found to do!

Perfect everything!!!

This property was the perfect place for a quiet, peaceful and comfortable visit. It had EVERYTHING to make a stay perfect! The beds were so comfortable, the space was so clean and cozy.. we could not ask for more! We loved being able to step out onto the deck and hear the birds (or view with the provided binoculars). I hope to have a reason to come back to this area, I would stay here every time!

Still Awesome

5th time staying at this gem. Wildlife in abundance. There must have been a dozen wild turkeys wandering around the property. Blue Heron, Canada Geese, woodpeckers and more. Oh, flannel sheets, so comfy.

Magical getaway

Amazing getaway for my wife and her friend to recharge batteries before beginning of school. Couches were comfy, great views at night of meteor shower, and very cozy accommodations all the way around helped make us dads look like geniuses and the moms starting a new tradition! Will be back for sure!

Jaw-dropping views. Homey and beautiful space. Over and above thoughtful touches on kitchen supplies, toiletries and incredibly comfortable linens and pillows and blankets. We would love to come back, especially during bird migration!

Home away from home and even better ❤️

This was our 2nd stay, and it was just as wonderful as the first. The attention to details is outstanding. Amazing good nights sleep in the comfy beds and morning coffee on the deck with the birds was such a joy! They even provide binoculars to enjoy the view! Was able to cook meals with everything at our finger tips! Nice to have such a comfortable place to come back to after a day to exploring Oregon, including Canon Beach!! Will come back for sure!

Crown Jewel in a Bucolic setting.

Quiet and Quant! Beautiful inside and out. Free range eggs were a special treat. Plenty of room for 4 people. The pond outside was a beautiful view.

My husband and I stayed for a week to celebrate our 20th anniversary. It was lovely. The place was clean, comfortable, and in a beautiful area. There were so many little touches that made it feel very welcoming. The only thing we’d change would be to add some sort of window covering for the front door.

Peaceful Retreat

This home is charming, clean and inviting, spacious enough for my family of four and yet cozy! The home is well equipped to make our stay comfortable . French doors offer great viewing of the lovely 15 acres. We love watching the geese and the variety of birds that make the pond their home. This is definitely one of our favorite VRBO’s and we hope to return!

Perfect Country Cottage

We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 nights at this beautiful, well stocked cottage. The only "issue" was the shower was a little tight as my husband is a bigger guy. The roads are a bit windy and can be a little confusing, so use your GPS. Beautiful scenery and wildlife. Definitely recommend.

Lovely, clean, and well stocked!

We loved our stay. I’ve been in a ton of short term rentals and this was the best stocked one ever! Anything you can think of, they had. It was very clean and cozy, the grounds and views were stunning. Just a little caution if you are sensitive to noises while sleeping, the heaters click all night long. Unfortunately, we didn’t sleep well between that and the rock hard beds. The memory foam topper only does so much. We are both hurting and tired after our stay, but overall, it was a great experience.

So Homey and Amenities Galore

This place truly felt like home; like I was staying at a relatives home who thought of everything I might need. Not only was there everything from seasonings to shampoos, but there was complimentary snacks, champagne, and even fresh eggs! I was tickled about the eggs, the fire, the cozy fur pelt to snuggle with, and the really fluffy comfy bedding. It was more than I expected!

4th Stay

Kathryn and Dee have made us feel so special each time we've come. We even had a coyote welcome us our first night on this trip. To having the lights on, the beautiful flowers and card, to the wonderful throws to snuggle under while watching the wildlfe and weather with the fireplace going. Hubby has enjoyed the coffee bar so much. We've already booked our 5th stay for next summer. Sincerly, D & M.

Paradise

We cannot say enough about our stay. We came for a weekend of college baseball and bird watching and both were a total success. The house is beautiful, clean and exactly as shown online. The attention to detail and little extras (coffee syrups, snacks, binoculars, makeup pad removers) really put this above most other rentals we have stayed at. It is located on the most beautiful wildlife preserve with a deck overlooking a lake filled with wildlife. We saw baby geese, bald eagles trying to catch breakfast, wild turkeys, coyotes, deer, and so much more. We cannot wait to be back!
