One week after our stay, they decided to charge my credit card for a "broken lamp." I immediately contacted Sue at Goldfish Property to try and discuss but to no avail.
As vacation renters for many years, US & abroad, annually in Incline Village, we have never had a problem/incident/complaint such as this. Everything was as it was when we arrived for our 3 day stay in Feb 2021 and then when we left.
Overall impression of house was just okay, very old & well-worn. It does not surprise me that an old lamp on wall might later (one week) dangle and occur (possibly during housecleaning or on its own). HOWEVER, it did not happen on my watch. As a person of integrity, I would have let them know. As per any contract, IF we had done any damage we would have, of course, been willing to take care of it.
We are a family of essential workers (nurse, therapist, social worker, teacher) in need of a long weekend break to play in the snow with our children. We do not need the stress of a company trying to charge additional monies so they can update their property. This house is not worth the price and the Location not ideal as between 2 busy roads and not safe for children. So, again, beware!
