  • Welcome to our cosy and spacious 17th-century watermill, lovingly restored to combine a connection to nature with historic charm. The heart of the home is the large kitchen-diner, a cosy living room, and the beautiful outdoor spaces. There are 4 comfortable bedrooms with double beds and 3 modern bathrooms with showers.

    Relax by the crackling fireplace, take a refreshing dip in our natural swimming pond (Gumpen), which is fed by the stream at the mill, and enjoy the tranquility of our large garden, surrounded by grapevines, olive trees, and a variety of plants. Several terraces offer plenty of space for cosy moments outdoors.

    The house retains its original structure with high vaulted ceilings and integrated elements of the watermill, combined with modern comforts such as Wi-Fi. Enjoy the breathtaking views of nature and the surrounding vineyards.

    The mill is located near the lively city of Imperia on the Ligurian coast, surrounded by the Ligurian Alps. The beaches are just 2.5 km away and easily accessible by bike. The historic centre of Imperia is only 3 km away, and Nice Airport is an hour’s drive or a quick train ride away.

    The mild climate of the Riviera of Flowers is a delight all year round. We cater especially to families and groups who want to experience the Italian dolce vita. Bicycles are available, and a car can be rented on site.
    Please note that smoking is not permitted in the mill. Up to two dogs are welcome for a fee.
    In the centre of the village of Caramagna, there is a narrow passageway; only small cars up to 170 cm in height can fit through it. Beyond that, there is a private road about 400 m long. If your car does not fit through, there are parking spaces in the village where you can safely park your car. A luggage transport service is available on site.

Very comfortable spacious house close to the coast

We had a wonderful time in this beautiful house, which used to serve as a watermill for pressing olive oil. The owners and the host were incredibly friendly and always helpful in answering our questions.The house feels spacious, both in the living room and the kitchen, making it ideal for two families. It was perfect for our two families with a total of three children. There’s plenty of space around the house for the kids to play.A unique highlight is the location by a small stream, which the children thoroughly enjoyed.The rural setting provides great peace and quiet. With the available bicycles, it’s easy to reach the city or explore other parts of Imperia, or San Lorenzo.In short: a true recommendation from us!

Es ist eine wunderschöne Lage. Obwohl es mit dem Auto nicht erreichbar ist, hat unsere große Familie das geräumige Haus sehr genossen. Wir wurden herzlich von Anna empfangen, die uns in jeder Hinsicht unterstützt hat. Das Haus entspricht genau der Beschreibung und den Bildern, mit einer schönen, geräumigen Küche und einem Wohnzimmer. Die Terrasse befindet sich im ersten Stock. Im Obergeschoss kann es im Sommer trotz Ventilatoren recht warm werden. Sie teilen sich nicht nur den Badesee, sondern auch die Mühle mit mehreren anderen Eigentümern.

Ein großartiges Anwesen!

Die alte Mühle ist ein großartiges und geräumiges Anwesen in sehr gutem Zustand. Man ist persönlich zu Gast bei der Eigentümerin. Vor Ort hilft eine Bekannt der Eigentümerin beim CheckIn aber auch bei Fragen. Wir waren 6 Gäste und haben alle 4 Schlafzimmer belegt. Die Kommunikation mit der Eigentümerin im Vorfeld der Reise war sehr nett, hilfreich und persönlich. CheckIn bei Anreise lief perfekt. Küche und Wohnzimmer sind sehr geräumig und top eingerichtet. Es fehlt nichts! Die Dachterasse mit Grill und überdachtem Tisch wurde von uns viel und gerne benutzt. Teil des Anwesens ist ein kleiner Teich des Mühlbaches mit kristallklarem Wasser, der mit anderen Gästen geteilt wird. Viel und gerne von uns benutzt. Es ist bei der Planung wichtig zu verstehen, dass die Mühle nur mit Kleinwagen, wie zB einem Fiat500 zu erreichen ist, da man nur durch eine Engstelle zur Privatstr. Kommt. Die Entfernung liegt dann bei 750m. Das kann man im Prinzip laufen, aber mit Gepäck wird das Schwerstarbeit. Weiterhin muss der Abfall einige Male pro Woche an die Engstelle gebracht werden. Zu Fuß kein Vergnügen. Die Mühle liegt oberhalb von Imperia, wir haben den Nahverkehr (Bus bis zum Bahnhof) mehrfach versucht. Das ist allerdings so unzuverlässig, dass man das nicht einplanen sollte. Insgesamt ein wundervoller Aufenthalt in einem tollen Anwesen mit meiner vollsten Empfehlung!
