"Delightfully friendly and kind hosts. Very clean place. Simple rooms, with everything you need, and shared washrooms. Nice breakfast. The shuttle to the lift is nice (although also easily walkeable in 10-15 minutes). The onsen bath downstairs is a definite bonus."

"Host and all staff very friendly and helpful. Cosy cottage that needs updating but adequate. Great table with eight chairs and one three seat sofa. Would be good to have more signs in English. Homeaway/stayz photos - none were our cottage. Were not told breakfast included (was beautiful) but would have been helpful to know because we’d bought five packets of cereal. Would definitely recommend staying here"

"Fuel smell in the room, in the corridor, made me ill. Even after opening the window, the smell lingers. The room heater has a timer that went off early morning and woke me up. Unless the heater's fuel smell is rectified, I will not stay here again. I stayed 2 times, and each time its the same fuel smell issue. Not again. "

"Upon arriving during the two-hour check-in window, I was puzzled as to if anyone worked here. I walked in the front, no one. Went around back, just a couple ski resort patrons. I was sure I was in the right building from the photos, but it looked more like an abandoned building with some squatters in the form of skiers. "

"The room was clean, the bathroom and shower were a bit run down but usable. If you plan to ski or eat at Nozawa Onsen it makes it very difficult. The first shuttle from Togario Onsen to Nozawa is at 9:24am and the last one was o round 4pm. No taxi after 6, so you cannot eat dinner in Nozawa staying here. While it is not the hotels responsibility, it made dining options very limited. The front desk staff was unfriendly, apart from the hosts wife who tired her best to arrange accommodation. "
