Was disappointed in this hotel. It is very much a heads down and dont spend much time type hotel. 4 attempt later we got a suitable room after cleaning and maintenance issues. No bedside cabinet, no set of drawers, no window, no TV, no kettle. All could have been accepted if it wasn't for the thinnest pillows i have ever encountered . Of which you only get one each. Then there is the see through glass as a toilet wall where, when the doors open and you feel you are being reveals as a game show prize. Trying to communicate with most of the staff was very difficult and we had to ask for some compensation for the mess we had at the beginning of the day. This came in the form of coffee and croissants. The staff here were lovely and I felt the security was quite good. Which was needed directly outside . It is £15 a day to store your bags! And when in the lobby we heard lots of complaints so I feel there is a bit of fighting fire here instead of fixing the real problems. A shame as I like the location of these hotels and would have came back but the organisation and cleanliness is a big let down. There is a reason why all hotels have dark pattern carpets in the hallway and its because it gets very dirty very fast. Not inviting and much better hotels in area for same price unfortunately

Really nice hotel with a wonderful, pleasant staff. Our room faced the busy Buckingham Road and was pretty noisy at night (motorcycles!!), I suspect the back rooms are more quite. We never heard any noise within the hotel. We use a white noise generator on our phone to sleep so the sound did not keep us awake. The location is tremendous, walkable to a lot of places with an AWESOME direct doorway into Victoria Station that we used all the time. The restaurant "Soak" in the hotel is very good (excellent dim sum) and there are a lot of restaurants in easy walking distance including a good Thai and Turkish that we liked. Breakfast buffet was fine and you could custom order things such as omelets if you wanted something different. Super friendly and efficient staff that work the breakfast, which is a huge daily operation at the Clermont. The room itself was nice with a comfortable king bed and excellent climate control and a fully complimentary stocked refrigerator BUT the bathroom is the smallest we've EVER seen in any hotel. The bathroom did not have room for 2 people to use at the same time and had 23.5 inch step to get into the tub and shower. While we are older it was usable for us but anyone with any physical limitations might find this climb a bit much. Key question, would we stay at the Clermont Victoria again?, absolutely, but might request a room off the street this time - to us a solid 4 star hotel.
