Charming boutique hotel, delightful, caring staff and cozy atmosphere. Nice breakfast, good location. A bit expensive but worth it for this lovely place full of history.

Absolutely beautiful property. The rooms are very well appointed and the beds comfortable. We loved the outside patio area and the accessibility for walking to shops and the beach. One of our favourite stays on our trip. The staff are wonderful too. Very relaxed and extremely kind!

Easy and stylish choice for Hydra

This hotel is a very easy walk up from the harbor compared to almost any other accommodation at Hydra. The staff is super friendly and make guests feel special. The garden for breakfast is lovely and the rooms are antique/rustic and stylish. Great hotel for enjoying the quiet life of Hydra.

Perfect accommodations, wonderful staff

I am so thankful to have selected the Orloff as our place to stay in Hydra. First, there’s the beautifully appointed rooms with excellent beds (as Americans who like a King-size, plush mattress) and soft linens. The room had a Nespresso machine, water kettle and refrigerator. We always had hot water and great water pressure in the shower and our bathroom. We had beautiful weather, but did turn on the air conditioning at night and it worked well. There’s a smart TV and great WiFi. The hotel’s location was perfect for us - just up the hill so it was away from the harbor noise, but still in the main area for an easy walk to restaurants. Most of all, we think the staff are the stars of this boutique hotel. They were all so friendly and helpful. Matina greeted us with lemonade made from the garden’s lemons and oriented us to the hotel. Michalis, the Operations Manager, greeted us at breakfast and helped us plan a hike for the day. Manola, the breakfast staff was delightful, attentive and accommodating to my gluten and dairy intolerances. Finally, we met owner Maria and she gave us an orientation to the beautiful artwork around the hotel. Our visit to Hydra was absolutely lovely and memorable largely because the Orloff was home for a few days. Thank you to all of the staff who go out of their way to make it special.

I loved staying at this hotel. It is so pretty and the people are so nice and attentive. Due to Covid, breakfast was served to our table in the garden( between lemon-, orange- and pomegranate trees etc) instead of going to a buffet ourselves. In the background fine, classical music, played softly through the speakers that were hidden between the plants. While enjoying this breakfast, so first thing in the morning, housekeeping cleaned our room. It was like having fairy’s. I’d really like returning to this place.

The hotel uses a historic residence to house the rooms. The hotel is more like a bed and breakfast rather than a 4 star hotel. If you have a room on the first floor (ground floor) be prepared to hear the foot steps of the residents on the upper floor room, which can be rather unpleasant if it happens early in the morning or late at night. The queen size bed was particularly hard to sleep on - at least for my taste. The breakfast was simple with the items that would most likely satisfy most tastes. The rooms were air conditioned and quite roomy, however the bathroom space was rather limited. The hotel does not have elevator(s) so carrying your luggages on one or more flight of stairs is the norm. The staff was pleasant and welcoming. The hotel is in a good location and close to the port, which is a big plus. Overall, I felt that the rooms were overpriced for the amenities the hotel offered.

Turn back the clock when you arrive.

Position is reasonable, building is dated and quant but is not well sound insulated. Hydra is well worth visiting but we found that restaurants and accommodation we're not quite the same standard as other islands. However, the views are sensational and the tranquility etc make it a different location.

Orloff è un piacevole Hotel, potrebbe essere migliorato sia la prima colazione, che la zona prima colazione. Il giardino è piacevole, comunque con qualche fiore o piantina sui tavoli sarebbe stato più accogliente, idem la colazione, c’era tutto d’accordo, ma i vassoi e la macchina caffè rendeva tutto poco personale o curato, come invece era il resto della struttura! Per resto davvero piacevole !

Orloff is a very nice place to stay in Idra!

Hotel staff were very helpful; they made some phone calls and helped arrange for an earlier ferry to Piraeus. We were very comfortable with our room; there were 3 of us. The big bed was comfortable, but the single bed I had was a bit firm. The staff was very friendly; we felt very comfortable there.

Best Little Boutique Hotel

Everything about yhis hotel is adorable. So much history! It only has 8 rooms. The room we stayed in was very spacious and very clean and comfy. The staff was so nice and very helpful. The breakfast was yummy. The pastries and fruits were good. We would definetly recommend this little gem. If we ever go back to Hydra we will stay again. Such a shame we only got to stay 1 night!

Excellent boutique hotel

Just a short walk from the ferry dock, this old hotel puts you in a quiet but convenient part of town. It has some of the quirks you would expect in a historic building converted to a hotel, but our room was spacious with a modern, clean bathroom. The staff helped us with tourist activities including getting us on a small boat operated by GNC cruises to watch the Miaoulia festivities. Breakfast was a selection of breads, yoghurt and omelets.
