The Swan House is in a good area for accessing everything in Reykjavik. The apartment and neighborhood were quiet and the host was so helpful with prompt responses to emails. Lots of pubs and good places to eat within a few blocks. Convenience stores were also fairly close.

It was a good location but not really walkable to downtown. However there are a few restaurants, coffee houses and grocery stores that are walkable, The bus stop was right there and it was easy to use. Many tours did pickups from there. I felt the hotel provided everything we needed. It was nice to have the breakfast included and options in the evening. The lamb stew was delicious. A lil pricey but in line with Iceland prices. It was very clean and had a wonderful shower.
