Perfect place with lovely staffs

It was all really amazing. the view from the room it was from the mountain soooo beautiful. The staffs are lovely made our breakfast with love and was all really delicious. I highly recommend and definitely when I go back to Iceland I will be there.

Lovely stay

Lovely guesthouse, the room was small and under a slanted roof, which isn't great for a large man as myself. But the hotel was quiet until everybody started checking out (then it turned out that noise travels easily between rooms and places). I had a great sleep, there was a lovely breakfast and the staff was really nice.

Icelandic Historic Beauty and Top Chef Stay

Remarkable historical girl with fantastic food and cozy dining! We missed having a small kitchen and a coffee maker for our stay so we could cook something light and not need to bother the restaurant guests after a long travel day! Overall it was truly lovely

Wir hatten Zimmer 5 mit eigenem Bad. Das WC mit Waschbecken ist im Badezimmer untergebracht. Im Wohnbereich gibt es eine Eckbadewanne unter einer Dachschrägen. Der Stil des Apartements setzt sich durch und überzeugt mit vielen kleinen authentischen Details. Das Frühstück gibt es im Lokal darunter und überzeugt durch eine gute, ausgewogene vorbereitete Zusammenstellung.

Die Unterkunft war ganz okay, aber nichts besonderes. Das Frühstück, wie es hier so angepriesen wird, war okay aber mehr nicht. Es waren vorgefertigte Teller und man konnte sich nichts auswählen. Es war nicht richtig sauber und der Empfang könnte freundlicher sein.

Strange arrival... they didn't have the room type we booked with private bathroom, so they would have booked us in another place but ended up giving that to someone else and we were stuck with a shared bathroom. They were friendly about it, maybe expedia messed things up too. At any rate the breakfast was great, higher quality than most places we stayed. House is a bit quaint with steep stairs. Shared toilet is on the same floor but showers downstairs.

A very good place

Reasonable price! Great location! Rooms very comfortable. The bathrooms were great for being shared. Treat yourself to a little surprise by driving up the hill. We enjoyed our breakfast

The stay was very pleasant. The room was very clean albeit small. It had a small sink so that you don't have to use the shared bathroom for brushing your teeth, etc. The wifi was good as well. The shared bathroom was really clean. One disappointing thing - the in-house restaurant was a tad expensive for a small town. The plokkfiskur (fish stew) was almost 4k ISK which is higher than a lot of good eateries in Reykjavik.

Locstiok was vreag alongside river and waterfalls Room was stunningly decorated and everything matched the theme of the old skyr factory. Dinner was great and their cakes are amazing Breakfast was all cold, not even toast. Made to order and toast would have been good. No tea and coffee in rooms was a major downfall...never seen this before Staff speak little english

Recommended (with a small issue).

Nice old house with a story. Recently restored. We booked a deluxe room with a "big hot bath tube". The room was very spacious and bright. The Restaurant downstairs is excellent. We had an issue regarding the pricing. The price the hotel requested was higher than our booking confirmation at Hotels.com but I hope it will be sorted out and we will have our 2 nights stay added to my account.

Es handelt sich um eine einfache Unterkunft, die mit ihrer Lage für die Golden Circle Tour punktet sowie mit dem Frühstück, welches super lecker war. Zu Abend kann man dort ebenfalls essen. Die Küche ist sehr gut. Es war trotz Gemeinschaftsbad eine der besten Unterkünfte auf unserer Tour. Ein super Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Ich würde das nächste Mal wieder dort übernachten.
