My husband & I recently rented this VRBO property based on the description, photos and location. Upon entering the apartment our first impression was that it was as advertised. It was an adequate size, decorated well and had a modern-looking kitchen area.The neighboorhood is nice near stores and restaurants. We started to watch tv, but we had some difficulty since the Firestick remote didn’t include a power button or volume control. We needed a flashlight to find the buttons on the side of a small TV. It turned on and the screen was starting to burn out- dark spots on screen, but no big deal. When getting ready for bed, we looked for washcloths and towels.We opened a cabinet and found a few very worn, mismatched, scratchy, thin towels. There were some additional towels in the other bathroom. We opened another door in the bedroom expecting it to be the closet to hang clothes, but we found a room with dirty towels, rags, and the furnace & filter caked in dust. We check for bed bugs in all lodging after a previous bad experience, so we pulled back the sheets & saw several dark spots on the mattress cover. My husband pulled the cover back to see what the dark spots were and found dark stains on the mattress.This made us question the overall cleanliness so we decided to leave.We reached out to the host the next morning and she responded promptly. We left the property..she messaged she would stop by with more towels & address issues.We didn't return
