Fantastic log home within walking distance to Raystown Lake, only minutes from marina and boat launch. Plenty of room for your family and friends with amenities such as a pool table, ping pong, free wifi, fire pit, and large sports court for basketball, tennis, volleyball, etc. (Sports court is on the property and private, it is not shared by others) Fully stocked kitchen with grill for outside cooking. Four large bedrooms (one is a bunk room for kids) with 3 and a half baths. Large open concept great room/kitchen/dining area where the whole family can meet and relax. Basement rec room also has a flat screen smart tv with cable. Located on a ridge top with easy access to surrounding activities and only 4.5 miles from Huntingdon with grocery store, restaurants, gas station, etc. You can walk to Raystown lake from house in about 10 minutes. Sleeps 12 guests, rates are up to 8 guests, there is an extra guest charge for guests 9-12 and is calculated once you select dates. Great room has a masonry fireplace shown in pictures, we do not allow guests to use fireplace without special permission, please let us know if you have questions. There is an outdoor security camera that covers the driveway area, it is not pointed towards any interior space.

This was the second time we stayed at Herons Cove and it was another great experience. The house is so nice inside but the outside setup is even better. The fire pit, outside deck and patio, and sport court were fun places to hang out with friends. Chris is a great host and made sure everything was right for our stay. We will be back again.

Family Getaway

This home is absolutely perfect! We enjoyed many hours on the outdoor sports court and found the home and sleeping arrangements to be very cozy and comfortable as well. 10/10 - we would definitely stay here again!

Great Experience for a short trip

We stayed for a few nights with family and friends. It was clean, and had plenty of things on site to do. Had a great time for a first experience. Anything we needed, the host took care for us. Would recommend this place! Thank you for having us!

Awesome experience

The property couldn't have been better. That includes the home, the amenities and the location. It is close to so many different activities, as well as, the necessities. Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again!

Great spot

This is a great location by Raystown Lake. It’s close to the trails for mountain biking which we went to do as well as getting to seven points Marina and then back into Huntington for shopping. The teens and kids really like the basketball/tennis/pickleball set up as well as the ping-pong and billiards in the basement, if it’s available we will be back

Very peaceful stay with family for thanksgiving

We stayed with our family and enjoyed our time. Very spacious place and mostly clean. A few things were missing but nothing too bad. Home owner was responsive if i had any questions. We had everything we needed. Most definitely coming back.

Graduation Weekend

Beautiful log home with great amenities including sports court. Close to Raystown Lake. Home is very clean. Bedrooms and bunkroom provide enough beds for all guests.

Another Great Visit to Herons Cove

This was our 2nd visit to this property and was just as great as the first. Beautiful home on amazing private property. We came for Juniata College Homecoming but i hope to come sometime in the Summer :) Thanks Chris for opening up your beautiful home to our family!

Relaxing on Raystown Lake

First time in Raystown Lake area and we already want to go back! The house is as described, with the sports court being a huge bonus to have on-site outdoor activities for us all. Lake access close to the house (short drive and walk) was also very wonderful. Chris was there to personally check us in and show us the house. Not sure if that is normal, but it was appreciated.

Perfect as advertised!

I stayed here with 7 other adults in my family. The house is amazing and there was a lot of room for everyone. The kitchen had everything and more to make family meals along with a great grill we used three times during our week stay. The game room got a lot of use and the sports complex was awesome. The host was so quick to respond on the few questions I had. I highly recommend this beautiful home away from home at our favorite lake in the world!

Perfect place for a getaway for all ages

This was our third stay at the property and we hope to return next year. There is plenty of room for all 3 generations of our family to be together for meals, socializing, and activities. Yet, there is also room for different groups to separate for a change of pace. The cabin is very quiet and secluded which is especially nice after a day at the lake. The cabin is spotless and the host is responsive. It's nice that towels and sheets (in sealed bags) are provided.

Awesome Property

This is the 4th time that we have stayed at this property. The accommodations have been A+ each time. The property owners have thought of everything to make our stay enjoyable. There are lots of games, puzzles, videos, and a ping pong table to entertain everyone. The sports court includes balls, rackets, etc. The clean bed linens were in sealed plastic bags. The kitchen has pots and pans, dishes, utensils, appliances,etc.

Awesome Property for the Family!

This is a wonderful property especially if you have children! The sports court was a game changer! The kitchen has a professional range and is very nicely equipped for cooking for a large family gathering! The house is very well constructed and was very relaxing. The screened in porch was a wonderful place outside when it was raining! The location was great with easy access to boat launches and the marina! We would definitely book this home again for a Raystown lake vacation.

Cozy Cabin!

Herons Cove is EXACTLY how it appears! Very clean, spacious, private and cozy! Chris was the PERFECT host! He was very accommodating when we learned that our original booking for our traditional family Penn State game weekend had been sold. We met him upon arrival as he was blowing the leaves off of the driveway and basketball court for us. He went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. A chilled bottle of wine greeted us as we entered the property. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Herons Cove with all of its amenities! We will most definitely return!
