We rent by the night (2 or 3-night minimum), the week, or the month from April 1 thru December 1 (weather permitting). Weekend rates are slightly higher than weekday rates due to demand. We may rent by the month with the rate dependent on the month(s) requested. Polite pets are welcome but there is a small nightly fee.
Relax and unwind, enjoying the natural surroundings inside and outside of this cabin. The cabin address is 5026 Whitehaven Lane, Huntingdon, PA 16652. We are located 7 miles south of Huntingdon. We are 5 miles from Allegrippis Trail for biking enthusiasts and Seven Points Recreation area at Raystown Lake for water sports. The distance to Juniata College is about 8 miles (15 minutes) and Penn State main campus is about 37 miles (45 minutes).
There are convenience stores nearby as well as a full-service Walmart within 10 minutes. You won’t find a lot of nationally-known restaurants other than fast-food in Huntingdon. But we have some wonderful Mom & Pop eateries with yummy food, coffee shops (some with drive-thru), beverage distributors, pubs, and quaint retail shops in our surrounding towns.
The cellular service in the area is pretty reliable with Verizon offering the best signal.
Our setting is a 6.5-acre wooded property and the cabin is semi-private with other cabins about 125 feet away. Guests are expected to stay within the open and wooded areas of their respective cabins. All guests have access to the shared driveway for walks with humans and furbabies. Multiple cabins can be reserved by groups for gatherings and all cabins are listed on this website. Our cabins are completely furnished with most of the comforts of home, much like a small house.
The living room has upholstered furniture and offers a Smart TV, internet/wifi and there is also a DVD player. The kitchen includes a full-size electric range with oven, full-size refrigerator, microwave oven, coffeepot, toaster, cookware, dinnerware, and utensils. The dining area in the kitchen has a table with 4 chairs. 1 bedroom has a queen bed and the other bedroom has a double bed. The bathroom has a shower but no tub. We provide pillows, blankets and bedspreads. Guests bring their own sheets and towels. We provide toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, dish towels and a bath mat.
Outside the cabin you’ll find a covered front porch and a covered back porch, each with a picnic table and stacking chairs. Beside the cabin there is a charcoal grill and campfire ring.
Raystown Lake is a popular waterway in south central Pennsylvania, stretching 29 miles long. The surrounding area is owned in large part by the federal government with several state-owned parks and forests close by. It is a wonderful area to spend a family vacation with popular attractions including caverns, railroading, horse-back riding, lake cruises, boat rentals just to mention a few. For golfers, Huntingdon Country Club offers a public golf course about 4 miles north of us. Volunteers have created the Allegrippis Trail which is popular with biking enthusiasts. There are 3 different trails so that anyone from beginner to expert can enjoy the ride. There’s also a skills park across from the visitor center where you can stop for all sorts of info on the way to Seven Points Marina. Fishing tournaments are frequently held in the area. During your stay, you may be blessed to see a bear swimming across the lake or a bald eagle returning to its nest.

The cabin is little but very comfortable. The driveway is definitely a mountain driveway. Very steep. The property of the cabin is very steep as well. Walking to the firepit is very steep too.
Love the location of this, the driveway is hard to get up especially if you don’t have a truck or SUV. Kitchen and bathroom very clean. Bedrooms were ok, definitely need new beds in both of them. I maybe got 3 hours of sleep because the beds were so warn.

Nice area
Nice relaxing weekend in quiet area. Will rent again in future. Thanks
Nice little cabin, close to marina and Raystown, hiking. Quiet and just what we needed. Had everything basic you needed, which was very helpful! Thank you!
Loved the area, and the cabin was in good shape. The only thing we wished was for a light in the bathroom over the mirror.

The cabin was cozy and the privacy was great, look forward to visiting again.
We want to rent more than one cabin in the future for the whole family, it was so peaceful and quiet. We enjoyed not hearing anything but the birds singing. The lake is a short drive from the cabin so it seemed liked two vacations in one. Defiantly will be back
We had a very nice time exploring the area. The cabin was comfy for the most part. We did have a lot of stink bugs inside though and the queen bed was not good for my back. We really enjoyed sitting at the picnic table with our cup of coffee and listening to the
birds. I liked that the other cabins were not too close.

Sooo much fun!
Linda was very easy to get a hold of and accommodating to us by allowing us to check in early and check out late. We loved our stay, the cabin is cozy and big enough for 2 people and our 2 big dogs. Beautiful porches, fire pit and grill! Located in the woods and private enough away from the surrounding cabins. We can't wait to return.
